Went back through the thread and it was @HotBunz that gave me the idea. He uses htg netpot lids that have an open cone channel straight down to the bucket and nutrients. I just fabricated my own. It seems to be working well. I set the rockwool/root riot cube on top of the cone and then back filled with grow stone. I already have roots coming out of the rockwool and into the cone so I think it is working as designed.
Right now I am just using SM-90. Looked at a couple other products but didn't feel comfortable with them and on the last grow I tried using beneficials (voodoo juice, piranha, and tarantula) and I ended up with slime so I am not using them on this grow.
Is this unit going to have a top feed? Or are you hand watering untill she gets a nice root down to the water? Or is the water level up high enough to reach the rockwool? Not sure how it works but that start looks real nice man.

@AKsteel I like that.....I like that alot! I was able to control the main tap root as it poked straight down out of the root cube and it sounds like this one of yours is well on her way to be a monster. Hopefully those grow stones will behave themselves with the PH. Nice work on the DIY net pot.
I grew a auto one time in a bubble bucket. It was in a little 3 inch net pot..... The tap root grew as thick as the main stem in to the bucket. It was cool
Im guessing this is the same principal but with more root space.
