Live Stoner Chat Air Pots VS DIY Air Pots?

I've been trying to research new ways for next grow and IT see a lot about Air pots and how they are a more improved way to grow. Then I researched prices....... Then I looked up DIY Air pots and see people using weed blocking blankets lined in a normal pot with drilled holes. Does any one know if its a good idea to use the DIY version or just kick out the extra bucks?
Anyones ideas or thoughts would be great. Thanks.:helpme:

Thanks Jm. After I check my local store prices I'll see if its even worth it. Or I'll post some pics of some DIY Air Pots lol. Since you say an atempt would be better than none. Thank you
