Hi folks,
I'm presently running my first grow with a tent. I have my air system inside the tent, but have recently bought another light to increase my amount of plants from two to four.
I would like to move my air system outside the tent to free up the ceiling bar for this new light. My tent is a 4x4 and I'm using a 6" AC infinity air system.
Will the system do as good of a job if I move it to the outside?

TY Dell, do you put the pre-filter on the inside of the filter in this scenario, or doesnt it really matter?

Hello yes inside would of guess i dont use them i just hoover inside the filter at start of each grow when i clean my fan out

In my new tent I have mounted the extractor on the outside with filter about 3 ft from outlet

As you can see I have the FC-E 4800 drawn all the way to the extent of ratchet hangers. It’s hung by four of them… had two extra from an old light. And on the rt of the tent you can just see the filter and ducting

I didn't think of the fact the fan would most likely need more servicing with all the particle's going through the fan before the filter. But everything has a trade-off.

So the filter and the fan are on the outside? I can barely see it, I want to get a 2/4 tent and don't think there will be enough room for both inside.

When I start using it I’m just gonna get an air filter for a furnace intake and cut and affix a portion to the intake… should be good then with minimal internal cleaning needed.

I been checking out prefilters for the shop vac filters, I may try one of them on the end of the hose in the tent. Below is a picture of my filter right now, 6 weeks in and all this dust would be going through my fan, I have to shop around for some kind of prefilter.
