DIY Air filter / scrubber rebuild

I'm not looking for a free ride with free products.
So I hope I didn't sound like that was my intention in my previous post :nono:

I enjoy testing products and giving fair reviews about products.
I need to describe fair.
When a product does not meet my expectations, the mfg. needs to be advised that A) I screwed up (lack of product description.
Or God forbid, B) they over sold and under delivered.

Smart companies set the stage for product expectations.
In other words,
A Ferrari and a Yaris, don't go the same speed,...or cost the same for an oil change.
You're screwed,...cause you now know...so live with it!

Better companies tell you up front what to expect.
Thus,, no disappointment.

No I didn't think that at all. I would love to see them let everyday warriors test it out and not keep it to the commercial cannabis industry. They have canister filters on their website but they don't look like any flange our usual equipment uses. Maybe I'm wrong about that though. I would buy it and test it myself if I could find it for sale. I hate the coconut/carbon smell. My old lady says I'm crazy, she smells nothing. But whatever passes through mixed with warm coconut charcoal churns my stomach. I'm super olfactory sensitive though.

I understand perfectly what your saying.
My girlfriend complains in an undertoned way about it smelling like pot in the house.
I removed 4 plants from the tent on a Friday.
Cleaned with Clorox and was told it stunk the next Monday.
Some people are sensative I agree...some are just annoying.

Carbon filters work miracles.
All things considered.
This however is still 1920's technology.
I believe the biggest issue is sales vs mfg cost.
And until there is enough volume, to justify R&D.
Companies no longer want to innovate.
Because bean counters are calling the shots.
Not inventors.

Lets talk about modern companies wasting money on R&D...and almost going bankrupt...
Ahhh lets see...Apple, Tesla...actually lets talk about reinventing the wheel...netflix...spotify..
So in the end...consumers buy what is in THEIR interests...not best interests..

Air filters, I'm sure they're all the same.
All 1920's technology.
This is the challenge my friends.
Why should I pay more?
Thats up to the companies to prove why.
