Problem: Seedling is growing slowly and showing red and white spots

Medium/grow method: Royal Gold Mendo Mix

Feed: and supplements used: None

water source: Dechlorinated tap water with a ph 6.3-6.6

Strain/age: Fast Buds Gelato/Day 10

light used: Spider Farmer sf-1000

Climate: Indoor, 84F/65%RH

Additional info: This is one of 4 plants I’m growing in Royal Gold Mendo Mix. I’m getting a little bit worried about the slow growth in all of the plants, but this one looks the worst.

Looks like the soil is to hot (nutes in soil not added by u) unfortunately it's not easy to fix if that is indeed the problem let's see wat others think.

That was my fear...

Normally when I plant in soil I use a handful of peat soil and coco mix in the shape of an ice cream cone that way it's got some very airy and almost zero nutes until it grows through that seed mix. I've got a few pots myself I'm doing experiments on to see if I need that handful or not but this is the second time running this specific soil setup so u need a base line to start from so now u no for sure wat not to do .

Yeah, I’m definitely going to use this as a learning experience. I just transplanted a more established plant still in veg to a mix that was 50% perlite/50% Mendo Mix. We’ll see what happens.

That is an amended medium, and thus is hot. It looks close to the Coco Loco that I use. You shouldn't need nutes for the first 3 weeks or so.

I have 3 plants that are close to 3 weeks old growing in the Mendo Mix and they all seem stunted. I’m really disappointed, because I did my second grow with this medium with excellent results.

It happens it can be strain dependant and even phenotype I have had some plants that needed multiple extra top dressings and some that didn't need any that's wat running the same strain over and over allows u to really dial it in.

This gave me the idea to plant in small solo cups full of Promix, then transplant after 10-15 days. Works like a charm, so far.

Yessir! This is what I do as well, I knew I liked you lol. This was a technique @pop22 turned me on to a few years ago when lots of folks were runnin the kindsoil. I absolutely loved it honestly it worked great, I used the scoop out method and never had any burnt plants at all. I wil most likely do this forever because I will probably always use some form of soil that has goodies in it
