my s/w only does regular timed frames, which pretty much blows for doing cool animated effects unless you use a huge file with duplicate frames for stuff you want to display longer. it'd be cool if the logos rolled to budshots one by one like slot machine or whatever. hypnotize.

again, this is more to get yer gears going... since contemporary banners allow you to get more information in a small space..

but i'm also saying if you guys are serious, you should select some choice bud shots, and use recognisable images (like the seed and leaf). that way when ppl get to the site, they know they're at the right place.

and dirty needs a logo check with dude and have a dirty logo design?

highrise's is memorable but doesn't work so well with a small, horizontal field...

( kinda like it too fast because you have to watch it a couple times to make sure you've read it all..)

i'm new to banners too.. though i've been doing GUIs for years. i'm using photoshop elements, 'save for web' function... but i'm sure there's better s/w out there for animated gifs since each frame has to have the same duration, which sucks.

if you don't like to use warez, inkscape is a good freebie for vector graphics, though i have to save my work constantly because it's VERY crash prone. i'd rather just use old photoshop. it's simpler. i hear GIMP is better than it used to be too.

Great logo, I would look at fixing the AUTOMATIC & .COM as it looks a little off but I'm loving the SEED.

EDIT: I see you mentioned messing with the font some more though

one of the things imentioned.. as a non-pro, i don't foresee what this stuf is going to look like in different environments..

(aamof i just realised that i've done this without adjusting my monitor for "normal" brightness.. it probably looks too light and washed out.. i like to keep my screen at a really low setting..)
