New Grower Afghan Kush Ryder "FEM" is a male?

If it's not a hermie then it shouldn't carry the trait, theoretically, but someone else on here did get a hermie AKR. As long as it's all male you should be fine! How long ago did you get the seed?

Yup.
Two hermies in a row. But none from a previous batch. Just be careful.

Is it auto'ing? OR just preflowering, because it could possibly be a mix up with their regular (non fem non auto) Afghan Kush strain that got mixed in. If it is auto'ing tho, it shouldn't even be able to be a male because that isn't possible when you make fem seeds if you do it right using only the pollen you forced. You can't get true males that way.

AKR is very potent and dense, and has a killer good smell, but the hermie risk in terms of breeding is too worrisome. Good smoke, bad offspring.

Pollen sacs.

Was a beautiful plant. 3-4 weeks old (uprooted to be culled before sending hermie pollen everywhere)

So, just for personal medical grows, with low stress, AKR should still be an okay option? Or are they have problems right from the bank?

Yes it is still a good option for personal grows just maybe have another strain going as a back up. dont put all your eggs in one basket so to speak

It's unfortunate that your EAK may herm, but I think as you said release the seeds with a warning. Do you know if the gene came from the Afghan Landrace?

Yes, a fem version of the Afghan landrace. The WoS genetics in EAK are from AK Special.

Wow okay. I was soooo close to buying AK Special seeds for the purpose of breeding. I'm glad I went with White Skunk by sensi. :Sharing One:

AK special had the fat buds and very earthy flavor I wanted. I was very upset when I discovered its offspring had a tendency to herm.

hmmm... I've never had an AKR show any male parts for me. but all of my seed stock has been obtained over a year ago or more. and i've only grown about a half dozen AKRs, but I used the best looking, branchiest one for a home/hobby breeding cross to a Spyder male, and I've grown about a dozen of those out so far with no signs of male parts. I have had a very high female to male ratio, tho.
maybe I got lucky so far..

Evol, Could you recommend a Afghani strain / breeder that would have a normal or low tendency to hermi?

Aside from the obvious ones like greenhouse or strain hunters I am actually very interested in White Labels Afghan genetics
