Additional lighting

So I decided to keep it on the side.
I don't mind to turn it once or twice a day and I want my lower canopy and side branches have some extra light.

@Talonxracer What spectrum side lighting do you use during flower, and is it on the same schedule as the top lighting?
For flowering I use 3000k and 2700k Samsung lm301h-b strips along with 660 and 730nm led strips.

Edit: yes it is on the same on schedule as the main lighting.

I also use some led strip side lights, I use mine in the corners of a 3 x 3 tent with a 315 CMH as the main light. I still have them mounted horizontally, but they are 8-10 inches below the main light. My purpose was to even out the DLI in the corners, and for that goal this configuration works pretty well.

@Talonxracer pointed me to Growdaddyled as well.

The strips I got are the older full spectrum models with the Samsung 561 diodes. The efficiency and output is not as good as the newer 301 series diodes, but they are still pretty impressive and more than do the job. I am running them on a CV Meanwell 120watt driver turned down a little bit. I am probably only running each strip at about 25 watts, they are rated up to 48 watts each.

It’s my first grow using them, but they are doing exactly what I wanted. They evened out the DLI across the canopy without adding much heat. Plants are growing more evenly and don’t need to be rotated to maintain even branching and flower development like they did with just the single source light.

I was checking the "What's new" thread for something lights may pick something up before installing 2 100w panels to my tent and this has made it interesting. I have 2 scrogs and 5 plants, so the alternative to spinning plants is rotating lights, I think I am choiced, it is overhead lights and defoliation to let light through
So I decided to keep it on the side.
