Indoor adding a 400 watt or 600 watt hps to led grow

I didn't know much about lighting. Saw a bunch of kind led advertisements and bought 2 k5's. They burned out after 2 weeks and they screwed me on the return. View attachment 681481View attachment 681480

After a few poor runs I realized that all of this was just crap. I switched to cobs, my yields went through the roof and haven't looked back.

It's a long story. It took me 2+ months to get refunded. They were supposedly damaged in return shipping but only sent pictures of one light being damaged and denied sending pictures of both lights together. There is a long list of shady stuff that happened. They threw away the packing material upon ups inspection, the picture they did send had a damaged light on top of a perfect box.

I had 2880$ tied up and the lies and deception continued I got pretty upset and linked them to my forum threads. It did t take long before they refunded me.

BigSm0, which COBs are you using? How many etc?

I'm using a lot of cobs at the moment. I have a few Amare panels up and my own creation. The autocob which I designed and now build for sale here on afn. It's a simple way to get people into cobs without breaking the bank. Equal to these 300w blurple panels in light output.


Just started 4 plants in a 4x4 with 4 single cobs.
This tent I have 6 in a 5x5 tent with 2 big girls in it too.

Dam that sucks I got mine for wiring a big room up it has two runs on it how was the bud from it

Bud was ok. Not a lot and the gpw was low. I don't recall seeing anyone hit over 1 gram per watt with them either. I'm happy to hear you didn't pay face value for them. Check the DIY section out when you get a chance. Jupiter ripped his leds out of his kind and added cobs lol.

To funny I'm going to look that up I wired up a room with two kinds to one de hps per 4~8 tray and did good and there was 5 trays and it worked well I never ran one with out hps with two de on it looks like a light bright I got friends that are getting 3 1/2 pounds for every de hps crazy right

It's either hps or cobs. It's sad but these blurple leds using epistar leds are really crap. I have the sphere data from the k5 if your interested

Our grow shop owner is pulling 2.5-3 lbs per plant from his 1000w hps with my autocobs supplementing. 55w autocobs are equal to 150w of hps.

This is one dinafem under 3 autocobs. 165w
