I am thinking of adding a 400 watt or 600 watt hid light to my grow tent. currently I am in a 5x5x80 grow tent 6 inch fan and carbon filter. my current lights are 2 600 watt mars hydro and a 96 bulb rflector series mars hydro.would they be any negatives to mixing the lights? led and hid. my thinking is I could take the reflector series led out and use it for veg.

It'd be a sh*t ton of light that's for sure! It'd be really cool to see the results!!!
2 mars 600's in that space is 20w per square foot. With the leds used in the mars your a lot less. I used to have the same size spaces and ran plenty of side by sides with both hps and mars. In the end the hps out performed the mars hands down. Adding more light would be to much for them. Hps spectrum is much better and will produce more vs mars as well. This is coming from someone who doesn't run hps anymore either lol.

What made u stop running hps?
I didn't know much about lighting. Saw a bunch of kind led advertisements and bought 2 k5's. They burned out after 2 weeks and they screwed me on the return.
After a few poor runs I realized that all of this was just crap. I switched to cobs, my yields went through the roof and haven't looked back.
