There's really no dialing in with Advanced Nutrients. It's pretty much plug and play, and very easy to use. And as I stated before, you don't need to use all of the products, though there are a couple (B-52, Bud Candy) that I always recommend. Customers choose which supplements they wish to add on top of the base.
@GMAW there are tons of decent nutrient brands out there now, but if you decide to try something other than Advanced Nutrients, I would recommend starting out with on of the other two major brands - General Hydroponics or Fox Farms(assuming they are available in your country) simply for support purposes. If you are looking for a minimalistic and super cheap approach, you can't beat Greenleaf Megacrop dry nutrients. They even have a dedicated section on this forum:
