My first time with coco. First time with PH perfect by Advanced nutrients. I thought to keep it simple. I will buy the full lineup for next grow, if this grow goes well for me.

That is not a fair test. So don't expect miracles.

There's really no dialing in with Advanced Nutrients. It's pretty much plug and play, and very easy to use. And as I stated before, you don't need to use all of the products, though there are a couple (B-52, Bud Candy) that I always recommend. Customers choose which supplements they wish to add on top of the base.
@GMAW there are tons of decent nutrient brands out there now, but if you decide to try something other than Advanced Nutrients, I would recommend starting out with on of the other two major brands - General Hydroponics or Fox Farms(assuming they are available in your country) simply for support purposes. If you are looking for a minimalistic and super cheap approach, you can't beat Greenleaf Megacrop dry nutrients. They even have a dedicated section on this forum:

I had a look at the Advanced nutrients line when I was setting up for my first grow. And to be honest I was put off by the number of products on the shelf and the complicated looking feed chart. It's just all looked a bit over the top and expensive. I ended up going with a locally made nutrient line which is getting me great results.

I've seen a lot of growers rating the Advanced line very highly but yeah I don't think they are running the whole lineup. Just the base with a few additives like you are saying.

I did just as you last winter with great success. Sensi coco grow a&b until flower then switch to bloom. Started out seedlings the first week bottled spring water, the next week 200 ppm of sensi until I seen good growth spurt them bumped up to 400 ppm. Once you see flowering give it a week or so and switch over to sensi bloom at the same ppm's anx slowly work ppm's up to 800 and you will do great. PH YOUR WATER. Even tho it says ph perfect, you will be using way less than what they recommend and the ph perfect technology will not be accurate in my opinion. Watch for shiny dark green leafs even at 800 ppm's. Autos dont take much. You can always add more but you cant fix to much.

Hey thanks a lot for that information! I used tap water which was around 80PPM and mixed .5ml/l of grow A and B. I never used just tap water or spring water. Maybe it was better I used spring water?

The grow shop is a week late delivering my Ph and EC probes. Not happy but what can I do. I am starting week 2 and I am watering to 10-20% runoff at 1ml/l now. I might be pushing them too hard but my damn EC probe isn't here.

If I end up having to PH adjust PH perfect nutrients, I will not buy them again and just finding a cheaper nutrient.

I think today is day 9.

Humidity is 50%
Temperatures are 77F lights on and around 70F lights off.

Do not adjust your pH when used the pH Perfect products. All you will do is fight the pH Perfect technology - you will have to add a ton of pH up/down to try to get it to change.
A lot of people new to the product misunderstand this and think it doesn't work because the pH still appears out of range after adding it to their water. It will not change your pH reading(much). What it actually does is called molecular encapsulation and makes the nutrients and supplements available to the roots no matter what the pH(within reason) is. As long as your starting pH is between 4.0 and 8.0 you should be just fine.
Here's a key item as well that bears mentioning. In order for the pH Perfect tech to work properly:
When mixing with your water, add part A, mix and wait 5 minutes.
Add part B, mix and wait 5 minutes.
After this, you may add your supplements.

I watched Advanced Nutrients do a video on how to mix their PH perfect nutrients. They had a PH probe and it read dead on accurate after mixing the 2 part nutrients. So although Advanced designed the nutrients to be available at a wider range of PH values, it also changes the PH value. But I haven't been waiting 5 minutes for each part. Dang it. I know you guys hear me say that you need to keep your nutrients in balance all of the time. How you manage to do that does not matter but you need to be a very good chemist/mathematician to mix and match products from different vendors here is why. You need 17 elements for complete plant nutrition. Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen are from the air and water. Bio-stimulants aid the plant in up-taking and utilizing these 17 elements but are not required for a plant to grow. If any one of these gets out of range high or low the plant will not grow properly.

N-P-K Starts with more nitrogen in veg and the need moves to P - K in flower hence grow formulas and bloom formulas. Because calcium is a needed element some vendors might put that in the base nutrient at 100 PPM while others put it in at a more conservative 50 PPM but have an added product to boost the Calcium the other 90PPM to max it out. So lets say you are using a base nutrient with a high calcium 100 PPM content and you decide to use a different brand of cal-mag than the base nutrient brand that only has 30 PPM of calcium and the one you use has 100 PPM. Now you have 200 PPM of calcium and are headed to a lock-out. You can avoid this by doing the math but it is complicated. Now take the endless combination possibilities that AN has with 17 minimum ingredients (not counting the bio-stimulants) in 14 different products and you see why you should chose a single brand.

This is just one example of how mixing nutrient lines can cause major lock-outs or deficiencies. I have experimented a lot over the years and I find that even for me with a lot of studying, trial and error it is better to use a single line of nutrients and use the entire line.

Advanced Nutrients is a great product (I am just too cheap to use it). They have 20 full time PHds working for them full time. These guys are tops in their fields and they know what they are doing with plant nutrition. They also know how to spread the needed nutrients along with Bio-stimulants into several parts to keep them from binding in concentration. This in turn creates many products for you to buy. It works very well for plants and Advanced Nutrients if you buy all of the products. The thing is if you do not use a single line you risk losing that all important balance.

You can get all of the needed 14 in a single part dry nutrient like GreenLeaf Mega Crop 3.0 it also includes some bio-stimulants. I am currently running the MC 2 part and it has only the 14 elements needed and you can shift the N-P-K balance by using different ratios of part A and part B. I am adding the bio-stimulants. It is going well so far. I will use about $15 of GreenLeaf and $35 of Bio-stimulants to grow out 6 plants.

IMPO you should not mix and match vendors.
