After whetting my appetite with Ace's Auto Zamaldelica, Auto Malawi, then moving onto the photoperiod Golden Tiger, I realised these guys are onto something.

Golden Tiger was the trippiest, mind blowing weed I've smoked EVER. Really, it hit me so hard, I had to evaluate my history with herb, and I came to the conclusion that going back to the start, the landrace strains is where I need to be. No more Cookies, Stompers and Cheeses, I'm running a year of Ace seeds indoor, and chase some real hard hitting, old school tastes.

If anyone doesn't know of Ace Seeds, google them. All of their strains have analysis of cannaboids and terps, and the breeding is totaly transparent and upfront. I love their approach, and the customer care is great

First up, I've started 2 Malawi and 2 Panama. The reason I chose these two, they seem to be the building blocks of a lot of famous strains, Ace uses them a lot in various crosses, so I thought it would be nice to nail these two, understand the taste, the high, so I can better understand and recognise them in the future when growing crosses using them.

The plan is to veg them for 15 days, then flip, as per Ace reccomendations. I'll be bending and training them right down, these wanna get big, so I'll keep them in a small pot, and repot a week or two after showing sex, to try and control stretch a little

I set the seeds last night, I have a tail on one Malawi already, when she's above ground I'll post a pic

That's really saying something.
Sounds like a herbal revelatory mystical experience!

So... you're going to be doing some crosses?
This gets better all the time!

15 days veg is plenty for sativas indoors.
I started growing indoors with local outdoor sativas.
Read all the indoor grow books which say like veg for 8+ weeks, but it's based on indica strains.
So my first couple of grows had these 6' and 7' tall crazy vines taking over the place.

15 days gives you enough time to take some clones, and then straight to 12/12, is that it?

:bighug:
I'd love to make some crosses, but space is tight, I don't have room for mothers, or any extra space to grow clones on, and outdoor here with any of these sativas is strictly no go, no chance of finishing fast enough. So the idea was just to improve my palate, smoke some mind altering herb, and become a pretentious weed snob :yay: One day I'll start pollen chucking, I just need a kid to move out first :cuss:

15 day veg is just to get the rootball going. Flip at 2 weeks, by the time the plant has sexed, the start of flower, roughly 4 weeks, thats a 6 week veg in essence. It worked great last time on the GT, and I managed to keep her contained and manageable....just

Yep, correct, Malawi left, and the pink pheno of Panama on the right, I lifted those shots from the Ace website,

I'm subbed. When I grew the Malawi x Panama the thing stretched for four weeks and had such a heavy yield. Good luck you we have to spread the Ace love around here :hookah:

I also stopped growing the modern strains in favor of landraces from Ace lol.

I'm surprised more people are not on Ace. They will be eventually, we just keep producing journals, grow it, they will come
