Indoor AB's latest grow log - Launch of the Badboy!

Thanks, guys! The PAK is a real beauty and I'm fascinated by the color on those calyxes. Depending on the bud location on the plant, they range from a light pink to a deep burgundy color. Stone, I hit mine with one extra dose of veg nutes before switching along with some Epsom on Wiz's suggestion. I also give a half dose of GO Marine with every feeding which provides a little extra N. Most of the yellowing now is stuff that's underneath and getting very little light due to the bushiness of the plant.

Very nice andy I'm loving that pak :ladies:

Back again as we cruise through week 9. Sadly I was away again this 4/20 weekend, and I haven't had a toke since last Thursday. But it was some quality time with my son, so I can't complain too much. After being gone from the grow for 3+ days, I peeked in late last night before crashing. Unfortunately the RRF had a growth spurt of several inches and had grown up into the reflector while I was away. One of the fan leaves was singed pretty good, and the top of the main stalk was bent over at a 45 degree angle. After correcting the problem, she looks better this morning and has straightened out most of the way. No major news to report on the other plants that are in flower, other than them being hungry and thirsty.

Day 57

PAK - She's finally starting to produce some serious trichomes, and there is a faint skunky smell developing. The older fans are continuing to yellow, which is fine since she's a bushy girl and has plenty to spare. The bud sites are filling out nicely and look fantastic with the color and sparkly trichs.

AKR - I still have never been able to figure out exactly what this one needs to be happy. The fan leaves are still spotting and slowing dying off despite all efforts to keep it fed properly. Looks like a combination of mag and phosphorous deficiencies, but I haven't been able to clear things up completely. I know that many others have had similar troubles with the AKR strain, but after reading some different journals, I've yet to find the magic formula. Regardless, flowering is going well and I'm seeing some excellent trich production. The flowers look a bit odd with the fat, corkscrew pistils, but they're hard as a rock which is a good sign with at least a couple more weeks to go.

SR1 - Still loving this plant and the huge main cola that's forming. The buds are starting to become more dense, but it's still got a ways to go with almost all the pistils still bright white in color.

SR2 - The large fans are pretty much gone and the smaller leaves are starting to go now. I don't know if I can get much more than a week out of her, but I'll see how it goes. I had a similar runt DinaFem Fruit last year and I waited too long to chop and that top of the main cola got too dried out. So I'll be checking this one each day for signs that it's shutting down for good.

RRF (day 23) - She's up over 9" now, so I figure around 12-15" when it's all finished. I gave my usual week 3 shot of calmag today, along with the first small dose of veg nutes. Hopefully the close encounter with the lights didn't cause any lasting damage.

Thanks for checking in! :smoke:

Were thay all started under the badboy? I know you have some letters by the pics but give me the full name of your girls. They all look super and will give you a large yield,Oh by the way when the time comes record the yields of each and give us a smoke report.:booya::drool:

Nice Update Andy! + rep for that! Your plants are looking real fine and it looks like you got some quality buds on the way!

Watch the little RRF become some kind of singe-topped mutant or something like that. She looks like she just shrugged off the extra radiation like it was a shot of adrenalin.

Nice work!

Thanks, namvet! Yes, they have been under the Badboy throughout with a mixture of half red and half blue spectrum. Actually I think I used a small 2' T5 fixture when they were really small seedlings, but only for a few days. These are the strains:

Mossy's Purple AK
WOS Afghan Kush Ryder
Short Stuff Snowryder (2)
Short Stuff Russian Rocket Fuel (started late after pulling 5 males)

I will definitely give yields and do a smoke report on all these. Once the reports are posted in the proper section, I'll put a link in this thread for reference. It'll be a while, though, as I'm a big believer in proper curing. I don't ever consider a harvest complete and ready for review until it's had at least 30 days in the jar. That seems to be the point that the flavor, aroma, and potency are at their finest.

The girls look amazing Andy! I had to +Rep you for that gorgeous snow Ryder 1 my friend

LOL, thanks bud! I love the Short Stuff strains because they just grow. No chasing deficiencies, wondering about whether you're giving them too much or too little nutes, or if the environment is perfect for them. Just get out of their way and they'll crank out some fine bud. :smokeit:

ps.. I especially like the PAK! It's truly beautiful!
