Just out of curiosity: have you ever considered using airpots? I know you wrote something about them in that home-made airpots thread, but I forget what you said... But I know (because I adopted the practice from hearing it from you first) that you like the roots having to search for the wetness. Airpots seem to be the perfect thing just for that, judging by what they did for my last plants. I'm ordering meself a few more and won't use any other pots in the future.
Thanks Jackal, for confirming my suspicions about the smaller plants looking deadlier than larger ones. Andy, that's where I see your smaller SR going- some green with a dense, impenetrable coating of trics... pure good bud-ness. I can't wait to see if I'm right!

Thanks Noods! I have not tried airpots yet, but I probably will on my next grow. I considered it this time, but I was already changing my soil mix, lighting, and nutes from synthetic to organic. And I also ended up buying a new fan and speed controller once underway. Probably too many new variables and too much spent on upgrades this go round. But I love the idea of airpots, so I'm sure I'll use at least a few next time. I'm not too crazy about dropping $50-100 on new pots, but they do seem to be worth it.
Oh yeah, we're going to be looking at some serious bud-on-a-stick action by the time that little gal finishes up. :booya:
Did you mix the spectrum up Andy, like you was talking about doing? I tried this for veg and I gotta say it works a lot better then all 6500k for veg. All 6500k will keep the nodes too tight, IMO. I'm running half and half on my 8 bulb. Currently have my 2 DWC girls under it. Trying to decide if I wanna try it like that for flower, or change back over to all 2900k. That's what has worked for me in the past.

Noods, if I was entering a nug into a comp of some sort. It would be from one of my stumpy girls! I notice it with every grow, no matter what strain the lil ones always packs on more resin.

That's come cool info about the Badboys too. Denser than HPS? Noice. My Tek lamps are working out great, but I still eventually want a Badboy.

Yes I got mine halfway through my KVS grow and I love it I run the mixed spectrum bulbs half and half straight through and I am having great results in veg and flower nice dense nugs
Which model did you get? I might just have stick this one out and run it half and half thru flower, I've always stuck with all bloom in flowering. I'm not trying to be old skool so I will try new things! :smoke:

I hear ya I got the 8 bulb and I use the quantum bulbs as well . I was going to switch to all flower bulbs but I was lazy and seem to be getting great results somi decided to keep it as it is .
