Indoor AB's latest grow log - Launch of the Badboy!

Hey Andy. Crops are looking good sir. That AKR is a damn champion. I am looking forward to seeing how these GO nutes work myself as well as you. I have also read mixed reviews but I believe I have read more positive than negative. We'll see I reckon.

Back again with a few pics. I've been in and out of town since Friday, so the girls haven't gotten much attention. Since the last update they've all grown at least a few inches, but I don't know how much more height they have in them. Clearly the early cold temps and spending too long in the party cups has limited their size, but they all have thick stalks and seem to be sturdy, so hopefully they'll still pack on some good bud. And shorter, wider plants aren't always a bad thing with T5 lights...

Day 37

All_Day37_1.jpg

PAK - This slow moving plant is continuing to do not much of anything. She's almost a foot tall now and continues to take her sweet time popping some pistils. I found her color to be getting a little more light green than I would like, so she got an extra bit of veg nutes yesterday.

AKR - This strain has a reputation for being temperamental, and I'm starting to see that. She seems to always be a little droopy no matter what the conditions, and many of the fan leaf stems are red, though that could be the genetics. The color is very green, so I backed off on the nutes and fed some calmag since I see a few spots on the oldest fan leaves. I usually keep my pH a touch on the low side around 6.3/4, but I may bump it up to around 6.6/7 to see if she likes it better. Just over a foot tall now, so hopefully I can squeeze out some more height before she puts all the energy into the numerous bud sites.

SR1 - Still growing taller at around 16" now, but the color really went light green over the weekend. She got an extra shot of veg nutes yesterday so I can get her greened back up before going into full flower. Main cola is starting to come together very well.

SR2 - Now around 8" tall, this little plant seems to be perfectly happy. Nice budding underway, so it will hopefully give some quality, if not quantity.

RRF - This one sprouted at some point over the weekend, so I'm calling it day 3. I learned from my last grow that RRF can handle starting on hotter soil, and this one followed suit. Hopefully I'll get the elusive bush pheno with this one.

There there Andy. Everything is coming along very nicely. I was thinking about you last night because me and the missus started up Season 6 of Weeds last night because they just put that season on Netflix. We have been waiting forever haha. Great show, love Andy's character, he's a trip.

So did you start that RRF straight into OF or no? You said it could handle a hotter soil so I was just wondering. That light greening of yours makes me wonder if that is why my AKR is super pale light green all over. As you know, mine are all stunted so I have held off on veg nutes to get em back on track. I am still chasing the ph dragon and it suuuuuccckks to say the least :cuss: lol. She is the only one pale-ing up like that, I wonder if she needs some Nitrogen. I will surely be putting some pics up around five today, my time, so if you have a minute stop by the Squid Farm and check it out later.

I can't wait to see yours with a bunch of fat chunky nuggets of joy blowing out everywhere. It's gonna be awesome. Have a good day man.

your girls are looking awesome Andy!!..glad to see you got everything to smooth out nicely!..this SR2..

..rite here is my favorite pheno from the SnowRyder's that i've grown...shorter fatter pistils...this pheno made some really dense nuggs for me too!..beautiful brotha!!

Yeah, I noticed the same - my PAKs are 1 week behind yours and growing slower than other girls at the same age. Wiz says the light green is Jem trait so nothing to worry about.

Nice and healthy looking ladies

Thanks for the comments, Squid. I've still got all of Weeds Season 7 saved on my home theater PC to watch at some point. The show has really gotten weird over the last few seasons, but it's still fun to watch. I'm probably a little less of a screwup than Andy, but I think he's a nicer guy than me. Early on he was such a slacker, but over time he became the glue that holds everyone together in that messed up family.

Last grow I started my RRF directly in a 2/3 FFOF & 1/3 perlite mix and it did fine. This time it went into my current mix of 1/3 FFHF, 1/3 FFOF, and 1/3 perlite and sprouted without a problem. These are fem seeds also. Your mileage may vary, but my last RRF was hearty as hell & I hope this one turns out the same way. I think it ended up around 11" tall and yielded 20+ grams. This one is in a larger pot with better lighting, so hopefully I'll harvest over an ounce.

I'll check out your grow later today to see the new pics. If it's losing green you may need some N, but only if you've got the pH in range for the plant to use it. Nitrogen is absorbed from around 6 to 8 pH, so unless you're way low you should be able to give them a little feeding to see how they do.

Thanks MrNice! I have gotten some killer smoke from small plants before, so I have high hopes for that little Snowryder. I had some similar stumpy pistils on my RRF last time, and the bud was sooo nice and potent. It's funny because the other 3 plants have all has some kind of minor issues that I've been tweaking, but this one just keeps growing & looking healthy as can be. :D

Hey again. Yes, Weeds just kinda gets crazier and crazier, but still fun to watch. Plus, I have the hots for Nancy.(who doesn't) And I agree, Andy is essential, yet he can come and go a little here and there. Shit just got crazy now, again, after Shane kills whats her name with the mallet. haha. Good stuff. Anywho...

Gotcha on the soil I thought you were using a HF mix in there somewhere and I thought right, cool to know about the RRF. I would love to get those genetics and add them to something else I like, just to make it easier to grow. Hope you get a good yield friend.

Thanks for your time to come check it out later. I think we're still a little low in ph so I am gonna hold off on feeding them. It was low-mid 5s and I watered with 6.5 then almost 7 the next time so I hope they will be back up. Thanks again.

Big thanks for the info on the PAK, Stone. +rep for sharing that since I haven't had time to check out many past journals to see the plants characteristics. Makes sense that it's the JEM influence since the AK strains that I've seen before tend to be a deeper green.
