So I read somewhere, sometime, and can't remeber where but it said that it takes around 8 hrs for the plant to start using the nutrients in the water. So would it benefit a little to water at night before lights out? So that when the plant starts usin the water nutes it would be closer to the start of lughts on? Does this make sense to anyone else? Any thoughts on the subject? Is it better to water at night or in the morning?

You should water in the morning. don't remember the full explanation but It's something to do with plants not liking soggy soil at night.

Ohh and also humidity goes up during the night adding water at night would increase chances of mold.

yeah the consensus is that when watering of having moist soil at night lends and promotes(far from always indoors mostly OD environments) root rot and various bad microbes when they are left to soak n steep in a moist soil when the plants not using any.a cpl hours after lights on imo is the best time.fluff the soil well later that day n itll be great :Sharing One:

I catch what you guys are saying. But it happens naturally in nature, so why would it be bad indoors? For instance take my set up. Dark period only lasts 4hrs and the temp goes down around 5-8 degrees at night. Air circulation doesnt stop. And even the plant itself, it doesn't technically "sleep" when it's dark. It continues to grow and goes into thc production mode. I'm not saying I disagree with the point made by the others. I do not in any way want to cause mold / mildew or bad microbal growth conditions, so I'm not goin to be watering before lights out any time soon. I'm just playing the devils advocate I suppose

yer prolly misunderstanding and im typing it long or not well. indoors its fine generally speaking and more often than not its fine.but in nature as well as indoor large gardens n the like with more 12/12 natural schedules its terrible to think like that since it nature it feeds all manner of life from damp off, root rot, slime all sorts of stuff that can pop up over night literally in some cases.and thats why its always said to feed during the day or lights on is all. but indoors its usually longer schedules and lesser times between damp conditions so in turn lessening the chance and worry of said issues arising especially with auto schedules too.

thats all i was getting at man,:Sharing One:
