You should see all the pistils shrink/close in to the bud and then the bud starts going hard so to speak mate. Once they do that it's just a waiting game and keep checking the trichs with a loupe every day. My buds went from hairy and airy like yours in the pic, to hard and solid, fleshy bud with no protruding pistils. You can actually knock on the top of my WCOG's buds lol.

Obviously I have only ever harvested one plant (plus a freak amnesia) so take this with the usual mountain of salt :smoking:

A update on the girls.
The Topped, OG Kush, seems to want to reach for the moon and since recovering from toping, she is now kept under constant restraint.
I did not increase the light distance for this stretching to happen.
The Critical+ that was FIM decided to change into a tree and stretched sideways and now has the main stalk reality thick.
Both the Blue Dream and the Blue Kush have kept internode space even.

and here is an update on the older girls.
So the blue cheese that was just getting old... was not really, and she had a big calcium deficiency, now sorted but bud size constrained from that moment on, they might fatten up but not grow any more.
easy to spot since she is full of spots...
The rest is getting more white pistils than brown so still going and not getting smoked as soon as I had hoped.
im really proud of these girls, they might not have a big yield but since they started in the living room, balcony, gnats, transplants, 250hps, 400hps, 600hps to 300wCOB, and me as their grower.

I like making the Grow diaries easy and pleasant to read and watch, as much as informative and entertaining as possible.
Just found out my GoPro can't do close up, so I got beautiful seedling popping.... out of focus....in time lapse...
And now she is having a typical starlet tantrum, claiming she does not want to do a second take.
You see the crap I need to put up in the small scale, unknown growing videos industry...

I hear ya there,lots of info benefits everybody.i still have a few days before they are ready,in the meantime all i can do is nurse them along..i have an XXL strain comin up in a future grow ( prolly a month away) but i am saving the mainline treatment for that one,in rhe meantime,i will top and LST to keep em low and wide!!

Here is an update on the young ones, now on their late twenties, early thirties.All showed sex and are now pre flowering.
They react to the led much rapidly than with the HPS to distances and I think I found their sweet spot.
