I need to convert my closet asap! I'm a bit stumped on the best exhaust set up and hope AFN can lend a hand.

The only problem I see is exhaust/intake. I am willing to cut holes in some areas (the other side is my neighbors storage).

The closet is 6' x 3.5'. The easiest place to set up an exhaust is exactly where my tent is. The tent has to stay put

it's the only place tent fits, with a straight shot to the only window I have, a skylight.

My attempt at an illustration of the room.

Ultimately, I'd like to scrap the tent and use the whole room. That's gonna be a later date, hopefully.

I was thinking of cutting holes in the door but, that would be a nuisance getting in and out.
The other option is, exhausting into tent. The tents design is horrible. There is a 6" port on top at each end, and 8" ports on bottom. I have an 8" fan

Which I'd like to use. Either a, 8" to 6" duct reducer, for top port or, use the bottom port. If I did either of these, what would I do for intake?

I've thought of the right side of the door jam

a couple inches wide and the length of the wall with a vent cover????

HELP YEATSTER!!!!!

Or, I could cut vents in the door. I would rather not.

Btw, I'm far from a carpenter so, my skills and tools are limited

IF using closet:

For ventilation you need input and exhaust..... For input air, if door is a solid door, do like I did on my bathroom door, cut-off bottom of the door, say an extra inch or so more than you have now .... if door is typical panel door then cut into face of door at bottom and put soffit vent covers over hole(s) later you can buy a replacement door .....

OR find cheap replament door and take off existing door and modify replacement, when done growing put original door back on .....

OR buy solid wood door and cut bottom up higher than normally and install.

Door is expendable .... If modifying door, buy cheap replacement and modify replacement door and save old door for reinstall later.

there are tents with pitched roofs for attick spaces.using most of the room and putting a lightbox over the window be cheapest option.
:pighug:

Drop a black out curtain over the opening. Then vent through fabric

The door is paneled

Maybe 1 or 2 of these?

The 8" fan I have is 470cfm. Any idea what dimension intake I'm looking for?

I thought about buying a cheap door but the dimensions aren't normal so, will be pricey. I'll replace later.

If I was starting from scratch, I'd consider a pitched tent. I eventually want to scrap tents, all together.
What's a lightbox?

I thought if this too. This will be a flower room, I'm thinking fans will blow any cloth all over the place. Plus, I'd kinda like to keep better reflection.
