New Grower 4th grow…experimenting with node amounts and topping/not topping

If you use an evaporative humidifier and tap water you shouldn't have any issues. The wicks soak up all the minerals. I've ran my setup like that since I got it. But Daniel is right with the sonic ones, that will definitely clog it.
Ok cool I have an evap. You guys are the best thanks again

Whoo! Tent looks very well. Another killer grow going on.

I have a 4" and an 6" ACI filter. They definitely work decently. I think the 4" didn't have enough area or dwell time however the 6" performed well. I still have both of them exhausting into a large home made scrubber bucket just as a precaution.

The price and the fit/finish are great. If you just need a little reduction they should do the trick for you. We live in a nice development with decent space between houses but have some very very nosy neighbors, tee totalers, and holy rollers. I had to rig the larger scrubbers just as a precaution. I'm fortunately old and codger-y enough looking to join in their complaints about the "pot smoking kids" who hang around occasionally.

Haha that’s perfect!

Damn kids growing their reefers!

Day 34

I’ve been flattening and they’ve been stretching. With their energy starting to going toward flowering now I’m wondering if I should stop flattening? Does training for too long stress them out? Instinct says LITFA now but I’d like to help the inside get light as much as possible as well as try to keep all bud sites as level as possible. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. They just woke up so I have the day to mess with them.

Day 38

Had em out of the tent so I took some pics in natural light. Wish the iPad camera didn’t suck though. I’m hearing no complaints from them but I can sense their disappointment in the training because after only an hour of a top being totally sideways it’s vertical, as if to tell me to piss off with the horizontal stuff. I’ve let up a bit on the training as I’m spying which lower growth will be removed so the rest can breathe. I’m about to do some real light defol where leaves are touching, other than that I’m in LITFA mode so I can witness a “survival of the fittest” and see what growth comes out on top.

I may remove more lower growth than planned because last night I cut, bagged, and stuffed another pound of Sour Crack into an already crowded wine cooler. No sense in grooming a plant for yield that I have no room for. Sure wish all my problems were this good!

Day 41

Everyone is responding well to their experiments. I’ve trimmed a couple stems who would never see the light without mass defol. Other than that it’s all about air circulation and maintaining low rh due to my fear of mold or mildew.

Also got my granddaughters’ garden started. She’s 5 years old and chose 2 tomato 2 strawberry and 1 broccoli. We
will learn together how to grow fruits and veggies, should be fun.
