Mephisto Genetics 4 X S.O.D.K. X ALIEN

Going to start my LST of the girls. I'll start with an easy bend of the small main "cola". This will open the side branch area of the girls for more light. As they grow I'll keep the main "cola" horizontal as possible and train it to go in a circle around the outer edge of the SmartPot. As the side branches grow they will be tied down to keep the canopy even. Results should be a 24" tall plant trained to be a 12"tall plant.

This is the plan..How far it will go in the circle is up to the girls. LST as early as possible. When started early the girls will not be stressed. Gently bend..wait and adjust the bend. When they "firm" up they can be anchored with a hook that's pushed into the soil. It takes time to do it. In fact all the way through the grow. Good for my set up since I will be able to grow any size ganja plant now with a well done LST.

How to you hold them down with the smart pot? Holes in the pot or just something stuck in the soil?
At 1st use plastic coated nursery wire. Make a loop and slide it over the top growth just bellow the new growth and bend. I punched a hole with a knife point in the SmatPot. Slipped the wire into the hole and crimp it to keep the bend. This is just the start to get the girls used to grow horizontally. As the main cola grows keep the bend and adjust the top around the outer edge. The bend will stay bent as the girls grow. Then you can anchor the permanent bend with a heavier nursery wire made into a hook "U" into the soil. The girls have just been bent and I'll let them go a few days and adjust the top cola as it tries to grow vertical.

Let them go a day or too and I'll post some pick. Right now they look like they've been blown over. Kinda scary with this wire attached to their "necks" an dragged down with a bent main stem. Not for the faint of heart. Although @dcat0921 you'll be able to handle it.

This how I'll start. This is just a first bit of training. As they grow we'll be able to see the results. Really not much to see, but LST is a on going process.

Just noticed that one of the loops needs to be moved off the new growth. The loops are not tight around the girls. The growth will just slide thru w/o any stress.
