Jean-O's Show Grows 2024 4 US Tester positions for Jean-Os Genetics

Two branches on my testers have topped themselves. That’s a first for me and I’m totally cool with it :smoking: :smokeout:

When I did the back cross with the blue dog at the F2 stage the Dinafem Blue cheese I used was a triploid n ever since I'd say about 80% of the offspring have been tripholiates which I really like because of how bushy they get. Ull probably notice the leaf stems will get super long n thick the bud mass that comes from the triploids is pretty awesome! I've had a few that auto topped at seedling stage that ended up looking like 3 plants coming from one stalk.

That is so cool. It’s like an intentionally built in mutation for extra yield. Ah so this is dinafem blue cheese x mephisto chemdoggin? I am really loving these plants. Completely different structure than I am used to. But I am curious what other surprises they have in store for me lol. I think that is worth mentioning in the description when these do become retail available, I think lots of folks would wanna try to pop a whole pack and see if they get the trifoliate seedling experience !

@db003 hey bud are you OK with waiting a few days to see if these germ or should I get you a replacement sent out asap? Im still fairly hopeful they will germ but Im not fully sure of what ur dealing with with the dry paper towel as to what extent these have been put through? Let me know what you would like.

Hey @Jean-O and friends!

We’ve hit the 3 week mark. So far both the Blue dog and Cherry Bomb have been growing really well, super dense and bushy. I decided against topping these ones since they have kept reasonably short til now, but I’m sure I’ll need to do some LST at some point to widen things out.

:greenthumb::woohoo1::greenthumb:Looking great grow mates! :smokeout:... this is shaping up to be a solid test grow!

Thanks to all for stepping up on this, Jean-O for braving the seed bizz and giving AFN'ers the first chances at test growing, and you testers for showing some faith and good vibes toward a new Indie breeder....:thanks: :clapper: :thanks:

I gotta say, the small companies and the Indie's are showing as well or better than any Big House corpo'-breeders have done over the last few years = :d5:
...I was just telling Jean that my grow future looks to be featuring more and more such genetics, made with passion and love by Indie's and private breeders, auto and photo alike! ...only reason I'm not in this now is the tent can't be set up yet, and I'm already up to my nipp's in backlog seeds to grow&show- :help:

As part of the Cultivator Club creed here, follow through on testing, and fair and honest reviews are a big part of this gig that works to the benefit of all!
AFN'ers have largely shined at doing this, other rep's have said this has been the most reliable and pleasant forum they work with time and again... Good citizen members and the no-trolly-fucks policy really enables this like no where else-

I will definitely give them time to see if they sprout. I will say this its not the seeds fault but user error if anything. just have to wait and see if they pop and I would not want to make you resend me some seeds because I messed up.

When I have dry conditions when I'm trying to germinate a seed I'll put a little top over top of the container to help hold the moisture in for the paper towel. It really works well for holding that moisture. because they evaporate pretty quickly and paper dries out. you have to be on it errday if you don't have a lid on it. I found out the hard way myself maybe a few times :deadhorse: :crying: :chimp: :coco: :naughtystep: :smokeout::baked:

You added the 35K light over them. Now they're stretching more. When you add that more Red Spectrum the plant will stretch more and it helps indicas or indica dominant strains become a larger plant earlier in veg. This helps with larger yields.:d5::pass:
