Jean-O's Show Grows 2024 4 US Tester positions for Jean-Os Genetics

hey @AJrexxx can you tell me about you germination method. your pic is just about what I had in mind for my next germination. so its would be nice to get some tips.
I used to do the paper towel method. Then I ran in to trouble with tap roots getting wrapped in the paper towel and damaged.

Okay back story over.

I bought knock off rapid rooters on Amazon because they were cheaper and they do the same thing. I just take about a liter of water put in about 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide. Then dunk the rooters in the solution. Then I just put the seeds in the rooter and bag them. I then hang them in my bathroom's closet because it is the hottest room in the house. Hanging them on the door guarantees they sprout the right direction. I usually put a couple of milliliters of water in there of the solution so it does not dry out and tape it to the top of the door.

I was having seeds pop and issues with bacteria getting to them so it is why I use the peroxide and it has been working. It is pretty much the Matt Riot method with rooters. I have been over 90% germ since I switched to it last year.

I am pretty blazed so tomorrow when I read this if it does not make sense I will fix it. If you have any questions let me know.

I defoliated the first node off every branch and cut a few more fan leaves this weekend. They were gettin bushy on me. This plant in the first picture runs out of water the fastest and has the least amount of soil in its container. I’m gonna top dress a little more soil, with some EWC and Doctor Earth bloom feed after work. She needs a little water too but she can wait til I get home later.

This girl is doing great she’s very symmetrical all the way around and filling out nicely - 3 gallon container I think she can go one more week before she will need the same topdress as the girl above.

And this is the one gallon girl I stick into a 5 gallon fabric pot. She’s doing great - there is this leaf curl thing onthe new growth that looks funky but the plant hasn’t slowed down so ..... whatever I guess. She’s forming the most even canopy and is the least bushy at this point

Nothing bothers these plants lol. I can do any LST I want and they just get stronger. The smallest girl I may have slightly over fed so I think topdress and no nutes in the watering for her only beneficials. Oh, it’s day 29 and week 5 begins - I guess this is the beginning of bloom, maybe 1 more week of preflower.

The duke update

Gave the soil its first shot of Microbial mass on 4-11. Still keeping soil moist..spraying around base of stem. She its growing rather quickly and seems to be rather healthy. I had one super duper skinny (toothpick) mushroom. About inch tall that popped up overnight. So i plucked that bad boy right on out.
The soil must be in pretty good shape.

Will post an update pic later when I'm back at home

Whell that stinks. I was really hoping at least one would pull through for you. Are you interested in another shot with them? I can get them out in the mail this week if you would like to give them another go? Let me know either way I appreciate your honesty and time.

I think I will sit out of this until I get some root plugs. I am trying to not let this catastrophic failure get to me. I feel like I let you down and now must hone my skills to restore my honor.

I can dig it bud! I appreciate your honesty in all of this and I am bummed a bit but also a part of testing is failure and how to handle it. I hope the root plugs help you out with the germination issues.

Day 55 from seed and 36 days from pre flower Straw Dog auto. The stretch has stopped and not a second too soon lol. She has a little light burn from the cob led in the middle of my cab ive moved her since and seems to be ok but the lights are only 5 inches above the canopy.

Nice @Jean-O , lookin good.

My Blue Dog continues to fill out and has started to stretch a bit vertically too. So far it has been super easy growing, though this is always where I go back and forth between whether I should stay with the lighter feeds or dial it up a notch. I’m seeing some very slight tip burn but it’s minor. I’m at 320ppm total MC for feeds so I wouldn’t think that’s too strong.

Heres the picture updates for The Duke. I just moistened the soil after letting it dry out a bit.

Heres the little mushroom I caught growing amongst the cannabis.

I'm just not able to open your pictures mate! I would love to see them.
Weird, not sure what happened but I can see them on my end. I embed them into the post rather than just attach so maybe that’s the issue?
Regardless, here’s an extra pic from last night/Day 27. They both got another light feed at 2g/gal Megacrop. Will be monitoring to see whether I step it up or tone it down
