Indoor 3rd time the charm? Im hoping so.. 4 plant grow

Mine is a basement set up as well. So I use a spare bathroom for hanging, and have a dehumidifier around in case I need to bring my rh down. Theres never really been an issue before though. Then we dry trim when the time comes. The only time we've wet trimmed was the monstrous tangie we did around 6 months back. That was a solid two days worth of trimming. I've never tried the racks or paper bags before, but have done some reading up about them.

I have a large drying rack with about 6 trays, the circular ones you hang from the roof and it usually takes a week or so for my flowers to dry enough to jar, but it’s a basement grow so I can keep the humidity dialed in. It makes sense though! I’m glad you have that sorted. I’m going to switch to hanging and dry trimming. I did that with a few plants last time and found the trimming so much less painstaking!

Sucks about the nutrients! Shame you’re not close by I would’ve handballed you whatever you needed.
Yea once u can keep the humidity up it wont dry as fast and will curing into some killer ass bud.. and yes dry trimming is definitely the way to go.. my method is... i pull off all fan leaves while plant is up, then i chop it and hang upside down for 5 to 7 days... then go in for a final trim and into jars... sounds simple but so damn important lol

Update: plants went into rockwool cubes last night covered them with some cardboard box.. (to prevent algae build up) now they are looking good and will be in just the cube for about a week.

hey everyone.. i forgot to mention.. if anyone knows of some hydroponic experts that are on this forum please tag them. The more the better because everyone has different experiences which ultimately helps others avoid potential catastrophes. anyways thanks alot!

Q:
I don't know that I would call myself an expert but I do drain to waste hydroponics in rockwool cubes now and have done airoponics, thin film, and DWC in the past. I love your reservoirs they are what I used on my last DWC and are still in my space as the legs and reservoir for my drain to waste system. The problem I had in the past with RDWC was roots in the drain lines. It looks like your lines may be large enough to pull and trim the roots if needed. Go to my thread Incredible Bulk Adventure for a detailed explanation of the GroDan precision drip system I am using today.

I am subbed in here so I will offer ideas as they come up. It looks spot on to me so far. What nutrient system are you using? In my personal experience I have found that using a vendors complete nutrient line at 50% - 80% of the recommended rates at the PH they state for their nutes works best. I have had excellent yield results with Dyna-Gro and House & Garden. In a taste test conducted by my "chef" friends the H&G won by a small margin of 3 to 2 out of 5 of same strains grown in different nutes. This is a really a small sample and a really subjective subject. It still convinced me to go with the H&G for my current grow.

Welcome along... i think the same aboute nutes... im either going advanced nutrients, or cutting edge solutions... depending on my financial state at the time lol. But yea i actually downsized the totes.. they used to be 27 gallons. I personally necer had the problem of the roots clogging but we will see.. have u ever thought bout putting in screen door mesh above the bulkhead so that roots will sti above the drain? I thought of it but never had the problem so never decided to give it a try... and im acutally starting to re think my tote setup.. debating on jus going to 5 g buckets so i culd run 20 of em in my size grow room lol.

My biggest problem was the pipe size @3/4 inch and yes I tried screens. It actually made it worse. The roots grew into the screens (practically overnight) then they were nearly impossible to clear. I think 2" pipe is easy to keep clear. Root problems were not the main reason I changed to rockwool. I use about 70% less nutrients to complete a grow now and that saves me a ton of money. It was not a huge deal with Dyna-Gro but it is with H&G. My yields have been a little less with rockwool but I am still dialing it in.
