hey everyone, hows it going? This is Q-Tizzle back at it getting ready to start this grow and would like to include you all in this one. (last one I tried but failed to update it often) a little background on myself, I'm a fairly new grower, my first grow was early last year. and while I harvested a good amount, about 3 lbs from 5 plants, the quality was not the best. so on my second grow, I grew 7 plants, and only harvested about a pound and a half but the quality was really nice.. I still have some now and when I show it to my friends and so forth they all tell me the same thing that it is some top shelf stuff and some are really surprised that its home grown... Trust me when i say that ive learned a lot through my previous experiences and this time around i plan to avoid most of them but I'm sure more will just pop up...well that's enough intro, lets get into some specifics...
list of materials:
1200W Fluence SPYDRX plus led grow light
DIY 17g tote RDWC hydro system 4 plants
11'x7'x9' grow tent
ecoair air pump
AC
Carbon scrubber
as for the strains.. I'm not to sure yet I have bout 7 strains to choose from. I will get to that once I'm ready. the first and foremost issue that I had with both of my previous ones is that I dropped seeds when I wasn't ready for them so this time I'm not even picking strains till I know for a fact that the room is grow ready.
Ok well if your wondering why I started it already is because I wanted to share a part where most neglect... that is the setup... so first off my previous hydro systems failed with leaks. I was going with a Wilma feed type system but then went to a single pot hyrdro system, but0 now ive built a RDWC system that is working but still has leaks.. so I'm trying to figure that out which I think I have done. but still needs to leak check. while I was building my system I was also fixing my grow room, which measures 11 ft by 7 ft (a corner of my garage that I sectioned off with black sheeting, and PVC pipe... and lined the whole inside with mylar. I previously had an issue with haniging my light so I fixed it by placing 2... 2x4s and connected them to the studs horizontally so that I can now hang my lights anywhere I want. So while I hung the light. I also ran multiple pieces of string through the hooks and taped them to the wall.. this is what I call my home made yoyo system so if any plants need support I will tie them up to those hooks for added support. So once my hydro system leak checks good I think that I will be ready for the next step.. and that is picking the strains.. I will post pics once I have the chance.. thanks for stopping by and if your someone who needs some pointers sub to this post. By no means am i a expert... but I'm sure you could learn a thing or two...
