Pretty sure lowbudge is referring to the LED case itself, he's saying cut a hole in the case and put the ballast outside so just the light is inside.. this isn't practical for herbal's form of growing IMO, it all has to fit *in* the PC case and not look suspicious.. although PC cases can get pretty nifty, shiny and have lots of holes for fans. :brow:

when the panel arrives, I will finaly finish the growbox and light will be like this:

FAN to take out hot air // 15W warmwhite // led panel // UV-B light (only switched on 2 hours before sleep)

edit: have you ever thought about getting a "bigger" case? I found this one on ebay. Its measurements are b37.5cm h41cm t52cm. could be a big upgrade as you are scroging...

yea i doubt that i will be cutting some holes on the top of the pc any time soon. lol.

things are working pretty good right now so they will be staying that way for a while.

havent had a chance to check out your thread -- just clicked onyour signature tho so i should be there shortly.

as for the transformers -- that is the best spot for them and the heat directly exits through my exhaust so its no big deal :thumbs:
running 1-2 degrees above the room temp right now so i am feeling good about that :dance:

that is one big CASE! i wont be puchasing another pc case -- mine measures around the same as yours and its been working fine for me.

that wouldnt be a bad starter project tho!

Looking nice and green friend. :gthumb: Ive had some strange looking leafs before also. Some even looked like the duck foot leaf but they all worked out in the end.

this case is nearly double the size and only costs 1-10 euros. anyways, my case is at 90% functionality.
I will do my first micro in there and maybe switch on the second one, if it goes well!

that case is wide! wish i did have that space but im happy with what i have lol.

the pics of the case should be on my 1st - 2nd journals (posted a whole lot of them on there) + the case is on here as well (check out the new set up)

HxWxL + lights/nutrients etc used are all on the 1st pages.

about 26" of usuable space
subtract 4" from the lights (top of the space) leaving you with 22" grow space (Vertical)
subtract the pot size (about 5" +/- tall) leaving you with about 17" of vertical grow space.

i would say that my case functionality is around 90% +/- functionality as well
- the lights / fans are all moveable (all by magnets)

debating on taking out the 2 intake on thr right side (and placing some holes on the bottom instead covered by screen etc) maybe next round (not necessary but we shall see)

they both grew 1" over night :dance:

left = 5" tall at the moment (4" yesterday)
right = 3" tall at the moment (2" yesterday)

excited to see how they turn out once the budding session begins.
