amnesia was GOOD -- sadly ive ran out (except for the canna pills) a good friend of mine (Sativa lover) enjoyed the smoke and im just glad that i can bring some smiles to my friends face.

its a good feeling knowing that youve smoke and enjoy the very plant youve grown and dedicated some time to -- will be growing again for sure!

dam ,upgrading to a LED can wait to see that ,hoping to see somme serious buding on this one also looking good !:smokebuds:

This is looking to be quite promising.. that 100W cfl is a huge upgrade over your 4 CFL rig, IMO. You say it was for the heat, but we all know it's because you want to get to that PC ounce. (That I still say should have happened last grow!).

Going to be tweaking anything at all this time around? What about the closeness of the LED to the plants, does that worry you at all?

promised? that i dont remember. i did say that i will remove it once i finish 5 grows and/or get 100grams dry (whichever comes first) lol.

all this experiments i want to do -- i just need some space

i ordered the led with the HEAT in mind but the density +weight is something im looking forward to as well. that ounce will be achieved sooner or later (hopefully sooner)

as far as distance -- here is what ive gathered from a couple of users through pms:

veg @ 8-12" good (6" works as wel -- tested by a user)
flower @ 1" no bleaching problems

i got those covered so we shall see how it turns out. the led is definitely an upgrade but ill be adding some cfl as well (if heat allows it)

just heads up on the UFO you are buying, It's not really drawing a true 100 watts. Most LED's are not drawing what they say they are. For instance, my BS240, does not really draw a true 240. its more like 140-180 range. It may not be enough juice for 1 plant.

hey pwiggins. some research shows the actual wattage at 65w? but ill be adding some cfls as well.

should be good for 1-2 plants (we will see how they turn out soon enough.)

Herbal here is a lil info the emailed on hanging placement and width

The height of the LED is 2 3/8". The hangers that come with the LED are 14" long but you can use any hangers if that height is too much. You should leave at least 1" between the top of the LED and the tent.

here are some that you may have missed:

weight: 3lbs +/-

has side vents but the heat comes up from the top (this is why they want you to have it atleast 1" below the top)

i disagree purely on the grounds that wattage is not what the plants want or need it's total lumens. 4 23 watts will push out about 6000 no problem. 4 27's will do about 7000. 4 40's will push 10k. on the youtube video for my bs240, it shows it in the demonstration at about 8000 lumens approx. thats a 240 watt black star we are talking about. not a 100 watt ebay UFO. I doubt that little 100 watt disc will put out more than 4000 lumens total. not to mention you have to keep them farther away from the canopy thus reducing overall PAR reaching your plants tops. if you can make it work with one thats awesome H.E. but, just keep in mind you are probably not looking as much light as your current CFL setup.

now, if you were to use 2 or so CFL's as supplemental you might be able to pull more total lumens than your current 4x23watt setup.

I say put as many lumens in your space as you can so fit. Regardless of what it is... CFL, LED, HID, etc... and of course if you can control the heat! But, I can't imagine a UFO and a few CFLs would make it that hot in there... but what do I know... :group:

so basically your saying we who tried to help/improve our grows, reduce heat, save power and so on just through our money out the window. we all should buy as many cfl bulbs as we can pack into our small grow spaces running up the heat, risk fire. unless we can just fork out $700+ for a 500 watt+ led or more to try and get 10k+ lumens are you just trying to bring him down "not a 100 watt ebay UFO. ill stand by my little 135w led and the 100w led herbal is getting. i started in a pc case also, pushed it up to 6x 40w clf and got no where near what my led has done peace out!
