Outdoor 3 x Early Top Tao (Photo, Reg) - Maria's Early Spring Games

Now wondering what the Mandala Safari hybrids will do in this situation.
Mwahahahahahaa!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess I better drop them quick.

My spring gardening supplies have just arrived this morning.
YAHHH!!!

Early Top Tao (Photo, Reg) - Day 5

I moved them under the tent, the little 17W was too narrow and not enough any more.
Photos with the "vege" lighting on, and with just the natural camera flash:

They're just pushing 5cm = 2" high, give or take.
The second true leaves are just visible, hopefully they'll be showing and growing over the weekend.
Present growth and health quite nice really, they look very healthy and happy.
The tent obviously has more light, 400W true, but at about 1m = 3' high above.
And there is also some circulating air from a fan in there.
Overall temp is about 18-20C, a bit warmer than outside, but just perfect!

They are sharing the light and tent space with some scorpion chilis, lavender and lemon mint, more strawberries off camera:

I know all/most of the strains I grow would start to flower with a bit more than 14 hours of sun, just a question of whether the increasing light regime might halt the progress/revert back to veg your sativa strain. Being a super early sativa though it will be interesting to see what happens!!

I have problems getting mint started from seed how did you do it.

"carpe diem"

Mint from seed is pretty easy, no secret.
I've recently done lemon mint and supposedly regular mint (but smells more like chocolate mint) from seed.
I used square 10cm = 4" pots, made about four little holes in the top, 3-4 seeds per hole.
They took maybe a week to pop up, so just keep the soil moist.
Think I may have lightly covered with a plastic bag for humidity before sprouting.

Have also done regular mint, lemon mint, peppermint and what may actually be catnip from cuttings.
The peppermint in particular grew roots like crazy after just 24 hrs.

Maybe it is your seed source. Mine are just regular stuff from the supermarket / gardening store.

Remember that thread a few months back, when I was using Green House Seeds strain info to work out light hrs for flowering?
I think it was something like 14 hrs or less was their calculated start of flower for pretty much all strains.

My guess is, that they'll be fine, but maybe at the end there will be a few crazy leafy foxtail buds that will shoot out.

What will actually happen? Only one way to find out, kids...............

@islandgrower -- oh, I see, you're in the Caribbean.
Yup I am . Would be interesting to test . I know I had a plant reveg on me. But not sure of the strain it was. Looked sativa dominant and smelled like lemon. It was in flower then started pushing out single bladed leaves and stretched again. So maybe with some strains it is just enough to stop and restart the flowering process.

Got some of that mycorrhizal fungi along with the dolomite lime in my supplies order.
Will add some to these three babies now, too.
Not sure how. Maybe sprinkle on top and water it down in.
I guess that would work by watering in. And when transplanting dust the mycos on the roots. I have to get me proper nutes and additives. Only thing available here are earth juice products.
