Indoor 2nd grow - Syrup

So i put the bowel in there agito and it raised the humidity for a day but then it went back down to 20% for 2 days in a row with full bowels of water in there....

so i went out and got one of these humidifiers...the kid on this box is tearing up some sleep!

same thing, 20% all weekend. I even tried cutting off the window fan to lessen the dry air that was coming in from outside. Did nothing but raise the temp in the tent to 77, humidity stayed at 20%.

Bastard Syrup is still coming down by the end of the week. It's taking up space now as my 2 photos are towering over it shading it from the light anyways...on the brighter side i am starting to see some brown hairs come through so by the end of this week she should be near done. and boy oh boy is she super frosty!

I'll start the flush tonight and add aim for chop saturday or sunday, may push it till next monday to give it a whole full week flush.

you can only do what you can on the humdity front mine are the same until the plants get big then it evens out for me,
it may be the extraction wants tweaking but other than that im out of ideas
peak potency is when around 90% hairs are brown but if you need the space go for it, it will be still fairly potent and defo worth the effort

Last Picture Update Before The Chop

Take a good look at her folks. This comming up Monday she will be getting the chop, underdeveloped and all. I need the space and she's going on week 12.

here she is as a whole. 1 main kola, 2 smaller side branches. there were 4 smaller lower branches but i snipped them a week ago for potency testing. Creeper weed but very strong stone once it hits...

one of the side branches...look closely and you can see a few brown hairs at the top. Not a lot but it will have to do.

I'm going to take a guess and say that i get a little over a half ounce dry...I hope that much at least. the buds are not very fat but the THC on this plant is just amazing. the 12/12 lighting in combination with the low RH (20%) made for major lag with this plant but she seemed slow from the start to me. I re-read my journal and it seems i had been commenting on her slow growth since the get go lol. Nonetheless, can't wait to smoke her.

Chopping her down 11/14 if i can bring myself to do it. I hate knowing she'll be coming down without being grown out to her full potential but i realize i can't have it all. It's just taking up space now as the 2 photos are light hogs. Quasar is standing at 45 inches

DWC is an advanced technique from what you have learnt from this grow your future harvest will be alot bigger
just make sure you get the feed right where it balances

and the yields will follow in the same direction

Well the deed was done. I actually did the chop on Saturday not Monday like i had anticipated...

everything was dried for 3 days, got 24 grams of popcorn sized buds that went directly into the trim pile. They are the size of a quarter and covered with sugar...look like this

I only got 5 grams of decent sized buds after they dried. Not very happy with the yield of this plant but i was expecting this. I got a lot more bud off of my very first grow than i did this syrup that took 2 months longer than my diesel ryder did lol. You live and you learn i guess.

after a good dry the brown hairs really started to pop... ready for the cure...all the decent sized nugs i pulled were about this size.

The smoke:
even though im not happy about the little bud i did get off of her, i couldnt take my eyes off of the nugs i did have. So sugary, covering the whole bud and the smell is just like candy. very fruity. very sticky. very pretty.

Smooth thick hits from the bong. 3 hits in i started feeling my head get real light and you think oh cool a head high...then 10 minutes later my whole body sank into the couch. The body high came over me like a wave...creeper status. Nice potent strain that wont leave you feeling wasted. Here are the 2

All that remains is the ounce of popcorn buds and a bunch of leaf trim in the freezer. I will be trying dry ice hash extraction with it in the near future.

Although i can't say it was a complete pleasure waiting for syrup, it was an easy plant to maintain although im sure i never really got dialed in to her feeding schedule. I missed the mark somewhere in the early stage...her buds should have been so much fatter imo.

I Think that is about what I got off my first ever LR#1.......I Loved the bud..
it was my first ever home grown..
but..
I was like Maaaan...gotta improve the Harvest...

Better Next time...Practice makes Perfect..

thanks wiz...it's funny because my first auto went so much better. got over an ounce of really nice sized buds and was happy with that. Was expecting better 2nd go round so its more of a disappointment than if were my 1st run. Live and learn.

that buds in the bottom of a big mason jar. Got the big ones to match the lofty goals set up in my head for those huge yields lol. they will serve a better purpose when my cali hash and quasar come down...1st week of December for Cali Hash!!
