Lighting 2nd Grow: Rapid Afghan and Easy Ryder, Airpots, CFL

I donno if ye've noticed but i though airpots were a pain in the tits to water at first.

In this pic ye can see the holes in the airpot. Check yer airpots and look to see if the bottom of the pot has a couple of rows without holes in the indentations. If so then next time round build yer pot the other way round. Doing your way allows the water to run off dry soil. Doing the other way allows the water to pool and seep in. (As long as you fill pot to nearer top with soil.)

Thanks for the watchful eye riz! Way back at the start of this thread I mentioned my screwup. I'm at least that much smarter now.

Just showing off my wee ones on Day 11...

I taped up the holes on the bottom of my airpots to stop the water running out when I feed and water them. Yes, that's the bottoms of the pots. I built them upside down. Not purposefully. There were no directions when I got them, and I saw the video after the seeds were already in the soil... Constantly getting smarteter here.:rolleyes...

Also, I thought my spraying down the soil layer after layer while filling the pots would be enough, but with these, you obviously have to really get it jam packed in there from the start. Next grow I'll know better!

Hey snooch and flwr, how's it going my Cannabuddies!

The air pots have an easy learning curve that you get through quick. I really like them. I think I'm going to get 2 or 3 more, a size smaller. I'll keep the 2 big ones for any Super_Autos that I might grow in the future.

All's very well with my girls. The Easy is fattening up real nice. Just some light yellowing on a few old leaves. Buds are so saturated with trics... Real dense coverage. She should be nice and potent.

The Afghan has eaten and thrown off almost all of her large fan leaves. She looks naked. Bud growth seems to be slowing, which is a bummer, yet inevitable. I was picturing her getting much fatter than she is. I'm happy with what she is giving me- no doubt!- but I thought it would be more. Her trics are a mix of clear and (mostly) cloudy with very few amber. I'm not sure if the amber I'm seeing might be a just a trick of the light. She definitely won't be much longer though, she doesn't have any more leaves! And just between you and me- the little Afghani Test Bud was FUCKING AWESOME!! Great stuff.

Oh yes, I do.

3 fem Cream Caramels from Sweet Seeds
a fem Royal Bluematic from Royal Queen Seeds
and 10 reg Lowryder#2's from Joint Doctor.
...not all at once...

The very next grow will be a LR#2. Just a small little square pot (or pots?) out on the balcony between the other flowers. I'm hoping for a male. That's why I got all the reg LR#2's- I want to make my own seeds.

After these two are harvested, I'm shutting down till about the end of August. With all the construction work that will be going on here and the kids coming to visit twice before now and the end of August, the Stealth Factor will be reduced to Zero. I can't grow any cannabis in my yard or garden 'cuz I'm in real good with the lovely Ms Granny Neighbor and we're always diggin' in each others dirt and picking from one another's vines and all that. She would not approve of these plants, and I wouldn't want her conscience to be torn between accepting it and being a good citizen by calling the cops. But she doesn't go out on my balcony...

If the little mini ryder is a girl, cool, good buds grow on them there ryders. But I want some pollen that I can hopefully keep viable till my next grow (it would only have to be stored a max of two months), so maybe I'll do more than one mini ryder... Whatever. No stress. I'll just have to really stretch my goods so they'll last through the summer.

So then when I'm set up again, I'll do a CC or two and some LR's. Or if I DID get some pollen from the balcony, the Bluematic as well. I'm definitely pollinating that one somehow! And the CC's too, but I got to time the Bluematic right 'cuz I only have the one seed.

The Afghan will be some absolutely cool smoke. I love the way these little premature samples get under my skin and make me feel like I'm stuffed with warm cotton. Total relaxation and harmony. A truly wonderful feeling.
I can't describe the taste. Green and slightly harsh because it's quick dried, laying on top of my reflector two days, sure, but the exhale is so medicinal! It's like codeine cough syrup right out of the bottle or something like that. I really can't explain it- need more sampling lol, but it just tastes f*n narcotic!

I'm dying to find out what the mature stuff is like. I think it's going to be a damn fine product!
