Well after the first grow was a success minus all the mistakes made, finally got the time to get a second grow going now that we're not relocating as previously thought. I'm doing 4 different strains again, after saying I wouldn't, but I'm a glutton and I think I figured out some missteps from the first grow. This time I'm just growing in straight coco, no perlite added. The canna brand coco seems pretty perfect, and I may have botched it last time by rinsing it and a lot of other unneeded things since I had no clue what I was really doing yet.

This time around I germed 4 seeds and they all 4 popped within 2 days of putting them in to jiffy pods. I transferred them to their 5gallon buckets as soon as their tap roots poked out the bottom of the pods.

Germed November 4th
Sprout November 6th

Already this is a huge improvement as my last grow had a few dead ones out the gate due to rookie mistakes. One thing I learned from last time is it's pretty impossible to over water but it's definitely easy to overfeed so I plan to cut the feeds in half of what I did last grow, but still water aggressively. Last grow the plants were like bushes so I'm anticipating similar growth. Maybe better this time around since it's winter and the temp is far easier to control now.

The HLG 320 XL's are worth their weight in gold as far as I'm concerned. Definitely happy to have invested in them up front. The amount of flower the first grow brought in, and the quality of it paid for the lights and then some, as far as money I no longer have to spend each month at the dispensary. Even tax free with a card, that stuff still added up if you were looking for top shelf medicine.

So that is where we're at right now. Here's their baby photo. I forgot how quickly they grow. Like a weed or something

Thanks! Everything I've read on reviews, sans the slurricane, suggest they're all fantastic which I don't doubt. Hope to see a lot of improvement from my last grow.

Day 11
Water regiment has been 1 gallon split amongst all 4.
pH in has been roughly 5.6-5.7
TDS first week was 180
TDS currently is 230
Bumping up to 300 by weeks end, as needed

Skywalker really taking off though and looking big already which I thought was weird given it's supposed to be 90/10 I:S.
Everything else going ok so far. Slurricane a little smaller/slower than the others but it ain't a race.

Been about a week, had some good growth. Got something going on but not sure what, leaves are funky on the Toof Decay. Others seem to be doing well for the most part. Decent growth for 1 week. Probably be topping a few of them come this next weekend after T-Day. Will begin LST as well then. Day 17 from sprout for all 4 of them. pH in has stayed around 5.7 TDS is still being kept at 220-240. They weren't quite ready for increased feeding.

Been busy with holidays ramping up and what not. Lots of growth. Suffering from problems similar to last growth that look like N Tox but am feeding 1/3 recommended dosage of canna coco a/b. TDS is barely at 240 and pH is 5.7-6.0 Going to look in to a different nutrient line for the next grow. The only thing I can come to the conclusion on is Mephisto genes just require very nominal feed cycle.

Other than some leaf weirdness everything else growing great. Skywalker still blowing everyone else out and canna cheese looking nice. The grape slurri looks healthier but much squatter than the toof decay. All are responding well it seems to the topping and LST. Expecting a strong push of growth in the next 1-2 weeks. Stems are bulking up considerably like the first grow; excited to see what unfolds.

Hey thanks!

my first grow over the summer utilized the same coco and nutrients (canna coco medium and canna coco a/b)If you get bored you can go through this thread and see how that grow went.

it was wildly successful for my first ever grow. Some of the best meds my wife has had to date. I’m not sure if it’s the genetics or if it’s specifically the canna nutes but they require what seems an incredibly light feeding. They’re at day 30 and I haven’t regularly fed anything over 230TDS which is about 4ml per 2 gallons. I find myself backing down their dosage a smidge every few days.

Great to know! I’ll treat them lightly to start when I get to them in a few months

Day 38 - flower is going. LST on all 4 is going well. Skywalker doing some weird stuff in that it can't decide how it wants to grow. Gotten to where I can't keep the canopy totally even on it any more but for the most part it's doing well. Ton of bud sites.. Betwween the Skywalker and the Cannacheese, may produce like the Mango Smile did last grow. the Grape Slurri was slow to take up but throwing tons of bud sites now. Really Really responds well to the LST / tucking and opening up the inner nodes so light can get through. leaf clusters on it are really dense and may have to be defol'd at some point but I really dislike doing that so we'll see what happens. Toof Decay maturing it's locations the fastest it appears, so if the last grow is anything to go off of, it's timing to the others compares to the NCH, so I may be harvesting it 1-2 weeks earlier than the others.

Otherwise things are going well. pH is maintaining now at 6.2 TDS in is around 320~ Humidity averages sicne Day one around 55% non stop. Temp's range from lows of 62 to highs of 77. I'm thinking mid to end January is when chops will be. Just int time for us to bring home a new great dane pup. We had to put our 1 year old down right before the lockdowns, after finding large tumors, so 2021 looks to be starting off fresh as hell!

Here's some pics. It's bed time so the droop is real.

Been a busy minute. Holiday cooking has been a full slate.

Finally got feeds bumped to 650TDS twice daily. Realize maybe lights had been too close this whole time. My first grow I raised it to max height much earlier ( 84" or so then) 2 HGL 320 xl's at full strength are quite stgrong and provide wide coverage I am discovering. As a result of this I believe I can have it at max strength earlier and higher earlier. Last grow I had two plants that were close and over 4 ft tall and over 3 foot wide. It may have been strain specific too being mango smile and NCH. Flowers are chonky and dense. Raised the lights and over the last 3 days they have stretched to match.
