where's the beans?!
Hello everybody! I've been an avid user of AFN for a few years now, conducting research and just tagging along for the ride. I've decided to post my second grow because I would like to help anybody in need, as that is what many of you great people have done for people like me.
My first grow came out pretty successful. I had harvested 1 Nirvana Blue Mystic (40g), 1 Dinafem White Cheese (45g), and 1 Norden Seeds Viking Loke (32g) my first grow and was very happy with the results.
I had even used MIRACLE GROW organic soil and still had these results, so I cannot wait to see how my second grow will go considering I'm using Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and am adding in a Mammoth microbes to my nut regimen.
OK so, for this grow (my second grow) I have in all autos -
3 Dinafem - Dinamex
3 Short Stuff - Pink Grapefruit
2 Short Stuff - Himalayan Blue Diesel
1 Dinafem - White Widow XXL
which all have been put into soil on March 2nd.
I will be using -
LIGHTS - 2 300w Mars Hydro LEDs, 1 180w Apollo Horticulture LED, and about 4 - 8 32w CFLs (blue for veg, red for flower)
SOIL - Fox Farms Ocean Forest, peat moss, and perlite
NUTRIENTS - Biobizz line and Mammoth microbes
POTS - 3.25 gallons (weird, I know)
MISC - small air purifier, 2 small fans
(I'm probably missing something, will edit as needed)
They were put under 24 hours of light for 2 weeks then dropped to 20/4.
I cut a small amount of the light hogging fan leaves already, as my space is limited, and tucked the rest.
All 3 Dinamex seem to be quite similar, with early thickening of their stems. Also, they all seem to want to veg for longer while the other strains are moving into flower. Overall they are very beautiful, strong plants (predicted to be my highest yields).
All 3 Pink Grapefruit are also very similar to one another. Showing very sativa dominant leaves, they are all about 22 in. right now. They show a decent amount of bud sites and would be a great strain to bunch together.
The 2 Himalaya Blue Diesel are 2 totally different phenos from one another. I only wish I had something to breed with #2. #1 is a decent size, it is honestly more then I had expected because of the reviews, maybe an inch or 2 bigger then the Pink Grapefruits. Now, #2. #2 shot off rather quickly. It is the biggest of the 9 total plants and is showing the most bud production already. Also, it is almost as if this plant is LSTing itself, bending its branches to about 80 degrees, while the fan leaves were reaching high up.
Monsieur White Widow XXL did not take off as much as I had anticipated it to. Not that it is bad genetics or anything. It is as big as the Dinamex and alike, is a late bloomer. It's a nice size with a nice bunch of bud sights all around the main cola. I expected it to be a monster, but am a little releaved that it isn't. I cannot wait for this smoke, Dinafem was always nice to me.
I will post photos and attempt to label them accordingly (they are in no specific order, always moving positions).
Thank you all for reading and tagging along for the ride! I will post updates weekly (or sooner), so check back!
