New Grower 24 hrs Darkness before harvest improves tatste and Aroma???

Hello AFN

Well as time approaches I want to make sure that i do everything perfect , so I heard this scenario again that 24hrs of darkness before harvest is good for many reasons like aroma taste and also resin production is this true?:pimp:
 
I usually do two days in darkness it definitely improves tastste/smoke. as for thc i dont have definitive proof (can't exactly get it tested) but i think it does. The plant won't produce chlorophyll in the dark but it will still use what it has left so this helps with the flavor/smoke.

Only one that's somowhat true is resin production. All the others are peoples personal opinion. And just because you have more tri coverage does not by any means, mean you have more potent buds.good cleanse for a week at least and improve the aroma and taste also proper drying ans curing but how much light plays no factor in that.

Chlorophyll, the green pigment (coloring matter) is found in all food-making organisms. Together with light, water, and air, chlorophyll makes it possible for plants, through the process of photosynthesis, to make food.

Chlorophyll is formed only when there is light. Plants kept in darkness for a time become white and waxy. Chlorophyll, which is formed in leaves, stems, and other parts of plants, is located in cell bodies called chloroplasts. In a leaf, the chloroplasts accumulate usually in the upper cells, giving the surface a greener color than the underparts. The reds and other brilliant hues of autumn foliage result when the amount of chlorophyll decreases and other pigments are revealed.
Chlorophyll is a very complex substance containing carbon, hydrogen, magnesium, nitrogen, and oxygen. It is insoluble in water, but readily soluble in alcohol, chloroform, or ether. There are about 10 different kinds of chlorophyll—designated as chlorophyll a, b, c, and so on—differing somewhat in their chemical structure.
Chlorophyll has many commercial uses. For such uses it is extracted from plant material and purified. It is used, for example, to color soaps, oils, cosmetics, medicines, liquors, and candies. Chlorophyll is also used as a sensitizer for color film and as a source of phytol, an alcohol used in the synthesis of vitamins E and K.

If chlorophyll is the enemy, then halting production by removing the light necessary for it's production and allowing a period of time for the plant to exhaust it's available stores makes sense to me. The obvious question: How long or short should that time be. In my approach to this finishing strategy, I've noticed the general agreement that resin production will benefit also, but is by no means unanimous. I'm planning a 5day dryout and probably 2-3 days dark to finish this round and I believe this will yield a good result.
