I don't know...I followed this link right to the end where Tavid gives his grow journal synopsis. THAT sounds and looks like a fairly simple, basic ScRog grow. But I'm only 60, what the fuck could I have possibly learned

I live in Asia now and there is alot of pot here but I want premo bud and entertaining plants, landrace plants have local names and varieties but we know little about the Western genetic advancements, where I live most people breed only pure Sativa Hazes that take a very long time to grow. When I look at this I always find interesting how an American or European weed comes out wit some name and it says its parents are from a XXXXX and a Cambodian Sativa - the strange thing for us is that Cambodia for example has many famous Sativas bred by different grow teams and the variety is never mentioned nor honored by those that take it and cross it. Many travellers do not realise that there are many grades and in Asia usually the older the toker the more potent the weed and an old man's weed is for an old man and will be a real "crippler" that will turn you into a real cripple and then there are the boy buds that sometimes come from early harvests. If Autos are released here they would invade and multiply quickly because local Sativa is a slow and arduous plant. There must me VietNam war vets that sampled these jungle genetics:)

Hazes would get killed for around here we dont have the climate or funds to grow at haze dom plants

You will find that most genetics sold will be related to the indica side due to quicker flowering and turnover I would take cannabis heritage with a pinch of salt most is sales pitch and myth such as g13 buba kush pre 98 etc..

be happy with the hazes most people would kill for that around here it would take allot of autos to dilute a gene pool but its a shame true landraces are hard to find. this probs warrants its on topic though

Yes, yes there are...and to put it in prospective, back in the day 35-41 yrs. ago, there wasn't any "captive" autoflowering plants other than naturally occuring ruderalis, and all the "current" hazes (Asian),Cambodian Mists, true Thai weed (now in auto mode), etc, were mostly untended grows and you're right, the sativas especially under the canopy took a long long time to veg & flower. Wouldn't it be balls to start crossing some of the finest Asian strains into fully auto mode?!

Very sad beacause it's very true. We would kill for some "true" hazes here. Some being called "Silver Haze" running around Ca and maybe some in Co., but I would think them to be pretty bastardized, thin versions of true haze

Laos (Highland) - 22% THC
Sativa

This South East Asian landrace sativa is grown by the Hmong people of Laos producing a very high quality pure landrace cannabis product. This late flowering mold resistant strain is powerful yet does not produce the "anxiety" sometimes associated with South East Asian sativas. It displays a large open calyx pattern and has notes of sandalwood. Outdoors a greenhouse will be necessary to finish successfully, indoors a vegetative regimen of 14 hours light is sufficient with 11 hours during the flowering phase. Highland Lao cures to a very pale green.

Today marijuana found in Southeast Asia is very common and known as: kancha, kanhcha, kan xa, and can xa. All of which indicate that the Southeast Asian supply came from India or the Himalayas. In Loas, marijuna is legal, easy and cheap to obtain.

Grade: A

THC: 22%

Genetics:
Laos Landrace

Origin:
Laos

Breeder: Hmong people

Flowering Time: 14-18 weeks

Travidude your yield was outstanding and an awesome grow keep them coming brother.

That is some great looking bud. Good job and keep up doing that beautiful work!

Note in Laos it is in fact ILLEGAL but laws are lax, there are literally hundreds of different varieties there so "Lao" is a bit of a generalization, one of the rarest most sought after weeds is the Golden Lao Buddha bud that is sometimes cured with a little opium to preserve the THC and boost the pain killing properties. There is a zone where weed is sold in the menu of restaurants in English with all kinds of cheap MJ dishes and MJ available from 10 bucks a kilo if you are interested in this town Google "Vang Vieng" (used to be a CIA base in Secret War and now is a Sativa haven for hippies from all over the world) some places are dangerous but I can recommend this place as being very safe comfortable and cheap.
