Mephisto Genetics 2019 Artisanal Communal Test Thread!

Just got home from my son's baseball game. We were gone a few hours and when I got home Pink Panama [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] and Mango Smile were droppy, because they needed water. I added 2 QB96 Elite lights and removed the veg light I had a few days ago . The temps are actually a little lower, but the plants are eating up the light. I gave them a little water this morning, they dried out waaaaaay faster than they would have a week ago. Budding is about to kick into gear, and Mango Smile [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] is already smelling SUPER GOOD. I had to do a double take, because they are just starting to bud...but sure enough that was those little buds with a big smell. I will need to switch my filter soon, my wife has a super sniffer. Will add some pics later tonight. Fed some pk tonight, 3 gal of water went to 4 plants in 3 QUART POTS. I will see how they look tomorrow, but plan on doing an every other day PK dose. Not daily, because I feed 3x per day now. I will start eveye other day and base my Bud Explosion waterings on how they look. That stuff is stronger than people think and these are going to go longer than the average plants. Slowandeasy on the nutes! Peace, slow

Day 40. Pink Panama, and Mango Smile. The jury is still out on the 3 gallon fabric pots for my style. I'm thinking I'll probably go back to the 5-gallon pots as it seems to work a little bit better for me and my schedule.

Day 49, and 48 for Mango Smile. Still going swimmingly. Mango Smile has taken over HubbaBubbaHaze, but she has more or less stopped now. Still not much extra flower growth going on, I think more action will take place now the stretch is over. I went mad at the start of the week, I stripped out silly amounts of shoots and foliage, she seemed to stall for a day or 2, but it had to be done. HubbaBubbaHaze is a specimen. Stunning to look at, smells devine, flowers are going to be huge, yield is going to be impressive. There is one particular flower I could sit at look at all day, really aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Super Orange Haze stinks, spicey oranges, I get whiffs of her, and it reminds me of mulled wine, oranges and cloves. Lovely fat flowers, liberal coating of tric's everywhere. Reminds me of Fugue State in her flower structure
Super Orange Haze, dat 49.

Update.

Finally got some nice action going on over here.

Mango smile number 1 is culled and Mango 2 is moving right along. Day 7 today.

We are on day 34/35 for the others. They started flowering about 9 days ago and are stretching out nicely. Everyone is still on the well water only schedule, every few days at random times.

SOH (day 35) has some nice long pistils. She is showing signs of early trichome production, making it a bit hard to photograph. She currently stands 19 inches tall and about 15 inches wide, flower site to flower site. Not much in the scent department at the moment.

HBH is huge! (day 35) I thought she might get quite big and I don't think she is done stretching yet. She stands 20 inches tall and about 22 inches wide. Long branches like hubbabubba. She does have a bit of a skunky smell when you get close. I see stakes in her near future.

PP is possibly my favorite so far. She is tall, dark and beautiful. She has signs of color coming through too. She has recovered just fine from getting to close to the light, just a couple crispy edged leaves. She is the most thirsty of the three so far, drinking more at each fill up and faster.

Enjoy. :pass:

It would be awesome if @mephisto sent super soil with test beans...

That would negate a seed test... they need to see how their seeds will perform when put out to the masses.
Growing things all the same way wouldn't help their research.... might as well have one person grow 50 plants.

those are WHITE 3 gallon pots that I place inside of a BLACK 5 gallon pot in order to get the picture... otherwise the white pot reflects all the light from the camera flash and messes up the picture

I thought it was to make sure phenos are staying same and no herms. But I guess you want a pest resistant plant. but so far any plant that had bugs has been stunted or died. So none are pest resistant so far when roots are involved.
