2 plants one stunted growth and now burnt leaves.

...Big Bloom, or Tiger Bloom? BB is not going to cut it, it's a great product, but look at the N-P-K numbers-- all in the decimals! I treat it like a supplement, there lots of goodies in there, but nowhere near enough P and K,...Tiger bloom is their bloom nute, and for what it's worth, not organic either... Tee, when you shop, you must look at those NPK #'s, that's the most important info... a P-K booster is usually used in conjunction, or instead of a reg. bloom nute, depending on things like defc. issues, the NPK #'s of the base bloom nute', size and tolerance of a plant/strain for heavy feeding in order to really push the plant to produce, etc. etc.,... and with synthetics, you can get products with massive P-K numbers! so much so that dilution for auto's is mandatory....
BB is pretty mucky stuff, and will leave a lot of residue behind so I don't recommend it for foliar unless in veg, and there's a solid reason to do so,.. there are many other better products for foliar that will do more than what BB does,..

I guess that's what I get for listening to the guy at the store, he said he's been growing indoors for 11 years. I explained to him what I was looking for and why and showed him the NPK of roots HPK and he said big bloom was what I needed.

They had botanicare but he said that fox farms was superior but he really recommended advanced nutrients, which I didn't want to go with after growing organically 2/3 of the way through.

I typically order from Amazon but needed something soon as I'm going to be gone for four days and didn't want to wait for Amazon and then apply the nutrient without seeing the effects.

Do you think I could double up on big bloom or would that be asking for trouble. Unless you know of a good substitute for the HPK from botanicare I will go ahead and order roots online.

 what a f'ing clown! Maybe he has been growing ID for 11 years, but his advise stinks, and is wrong,... all of it,... especially after you made it clear that you're doing organic and want to finish that way, and clearly he had zero clue about the NPK#s of BB, and why he didn't show you Tiger Bloom-?? Some of our best growers here use FF nutes (Trapper, Full Duplex come to mind)... AN is the worst ad-propaganda leg humping over-rated line out there hands down,...fine stuff, don't get me wrong, but for the outrageous $$, many of the best growers I know here have switched to other brands, and are as happy or better than before!... and for soil grow, the "self buffering pH" is of no real help once in the pot, too many other contributing factors to pH in there,.. that pH buffering is mostly about the solution that's made from them,...
Did you look for General Organics BioThrive Bloom as suggested? Botanicare is good stuff too,... you can use a synthetic product too, it's not going to ruin a thing, you won't be feeding that heavily,.. many garden centers carry basic nutes that will be fine for the job, and you can go back to organic once they arrive,... Grow More SeaGrow flower and bloom 4-26-26 is a long time staff favorite, tried and true... commonly available, and inexpensive, like $8 for 1.5lb tub! If you find something before you leave let us know and we'll talk about how much to dilute it if necessary,... and you can triple down on the BB as a lomp along meantime,.. but not regularly!

So I called four different hydroponic stores and it seems like they all have the same supplier. One guy I talked to said he was just the owner and didn't know anything about the different nutrients. No one had the roots hpk or biothrive.
If I do find the grow more sea grow what dilution would i use? I do have a couple gardening stores I can call.

Also I guess I'm kind of confused why fox farm would have big bloom and tiger bloom, I guess just so they have one bloom nutrient that was organic?
Once again I really appreciate all the help.

... Big bloom is more like a EWC tea, very very mild, organic goodies, etc.,.. their name for it is stupid, really! Bloom has no bizz on the label if it's isn't a true bloom nute,...

:nono: 4 places, each as useless as the next! OSH, Home depot, local nurseries, might have SeaGrow or something similar,... use it at 1/2 str. initially,...

That makes sense. They did have directions for strong dosage on it, 1/2 cup per gallon. Which came out to a little over three times the normal. So I went ahead and watered with that yesterday. Thanks mate!

So I went to three more places including a garden store. Nada.
I ended up going with fox farms Beastie Bloomz. 0-50-30 soluble. It's not organic but it should get me through until I buy a proper line of nutrients. One place did have the roots starter pack but it was $120 and it had HPK. Amazon has it for like $70.
Everywhere else had good prices just not what I was looking for.

So when I watered my plants with the 1/2 cup of big bloom I didn't have any runoff so I went ahead and watered one quart between both plants with 1/16 tsp of beastie bloomz.
The reason I didn't go with tiger bloom is because one of my plants nitrogen toxicity seems to be worse, as far as clawing.

 geez, what a beating! Amazon it is then,... Smart to start with low dosage on the Beastie, is it normally 1tsp/gal? you can go to 1/8 next round,...

It was 1/2 to 1 tsp per gallon. I'll be back in town in a couple days and I'll see how they're doing then!

They seem to be doing well, newer growth is not burnt nor does it have any deficiencies(that I can see). I truly appreciate all the help.
