So after 25 years of growing, this site has convinced me to give Autoflowers a try! I ordered Dutch Passion Blackberry Kush and Blueberry, 2 of my favorite photo strains because why not? I will be utilizing a 3x3x63 tent with a 1000w Bestva DC series and 5gal air pots. Medium will be 50/50 perlite and FFOF. Nutrients will be the Fox Farm trio and Bembe. My seeds just came today and they are currently in germ. I soaked them in a shot glass for 24 hours and they are currently in a Tupperware dish between two cotton make up wipe pads that my significant other donated to the cause.

So peeked at my seeds today, looking good, I see the 2 Blackberry are cracking a tiny bit, the Blueberry looks the same. I decided it was time to mix up my soil. I planned on a 50/50 FFOF and perlite, but after reading several threads about FFOF being a bit too hot for seedlings, I added Black Gold Seedling mix to lighten things up a touch. I plan on going straight into my 5 gal airpots and don't wanna stress my little girls too much.

79F with lights and full pots, waiting on my new hygrometer to come, gonna be interesting to see where my humidity is at.

Good luck and i'll be watching.Curious to see how the BG Seedling mix treats you as that is one of few brands I can get shipped free to me from Home Depot(I have no car)and everything else is $$$$ or not in stock.

Ill be watching also I'm interested to see how they turn out in the air pots I have a few laying around,
the only reason i didn't use them and went with a sip bucket was the organic sohum LS, trying to avoid fungus Knat's at all cost.
Good Luck

The Blueberry finally popped her shell and she is already out pacing the 2 BK's that popped first. I planned on them go straight into their final homes in the air pots, but I'm seeing a lot of people here start in Seedling trays or Solo cups and transplant after a week or two. Me being new to autos, I wanna give my babies a good start. What are the benefits of starting autos in smaller containers? And do I risk stunting them just planting directly into the air pots?20211027_154817.jpg 20211027_153935.jpg

I made the mistake of planting autos directly into air pots mix was way hot,
3 of 5 took produced under 1 oz each plant .

Now I use seed starting soil once I see a tap root. gets her off to a nice start.
10 days later nice set of roots ready to be transplanted.

you can put some thing the size of a solo cup
with open bottom in the center of main pot with SSS or potting soil if you don't want to transplant !
