Oh yeah, I don't think those can handle much draw. If you're handy swapping a socket out for an outlet box the wiring should be standard 12/15 amp stuff.

Wild bill's idea to run a cord is probably simpler.

It is vented in the floor. The door is sealed really well so no room for an extension cord.

Vented in the floor? Not wall or door or another open vent pipe in the room?

The vent in the floor of the closet goes directly to the crawl space for “fresh air”. It also has a pipe that runs up through the ceiling and vents into the attic.

You're best bet is to read up, watch xome vids and put an outlet there. It really isn't that difficult.

I understand your situation, but for a code installation, I know of nowhere that opening would/could be included in a combustion air calculation.

Yes, installing an outlet is surprisingly easy. Just google it and read all the blogs about how to pull it off. Youtube has help as well. It's seriously easy. Just make sure you shut off the breaker first!

I don't doubt you can grow a plant in there with that bulb, but you may be dissapointed in the outcome. Plus it feel triumphant to take on a home improvement project like installing an outlet!
