Day 38

Today the ladies were looking slighty sad. I was scheduled to water maniana but the dirt was terribly dry finger deep. I decided to take a chance. Set the ph on 6 individual spring water gallons to 6.5. One of them is substantially shorter than the rest so I gave it a quick swig of big bloom and and even smaller swig of grow big. The last time I watered 9 days ago (gallon each as well) several of the plants had alot.of overflow and I had small puddle on the floor. This time around they didnt overflow one bit. They were very thirtsy. As you can see in the photos I have each63w bulb around the 4 plants similar In height, and have the 42w bulbs split around the two larger plants and one pointing down as to get lower foliage. First two photos are over head shots of each halfs of the closet. Then some random budsites. Then a whole shot as to see exactly how huge these mamas are getting 3-4ft.
Any suggestions advice please let me know.

Hey mate - 9 days between watering seems a long time for a flowering plant that size. Mine are about the same stage as yours and in 11 Litre pots they are taking 2-3 litres of water every 3/4 days max.
What I do is note how much the pot weighs when I pick it up when its dry, then do the same after watering, and you can feel by weight of the pot when she is dry.
Saying that they look great - plenty of bud sites - you are rocking those CFL´s!

Thats true I did wonder if it was a bit long to be watering every ten days. But im doing a 3.75 liters and my pots are 19 liter pots (or shoukd I say 5 gallon buckets) so im just going off of the watering schedule in '8oz for $100' by seemorebuds. His plants are recieving a gallon every ten days and he says he waters them this way so that no mold accrues and the roots grow correctly? Idk

Fair enough man, that was a gut reaction from me and it sounds like you got it under control. Gonna tag along for the ride dude - race you to harvest lol!

Looking really good, Greek! Youre kickin' it, my friend. :woohoo:
Any suggestions advice please let me know.
When you can, maybe get some reflectors for those bulbs. It'll put a lot more light on your gals.
As to the watering, you gotta do what your gals want. Watering cycles depend on the strain, age and size of the plant, soil type, temp and humidity, etc.
If it's working for ya,. Just keep an eye peeled for stress and adjust as you need. Realize also that when soil becomes too dry, it can result in hydrophobic zones, (pockets that stubbornly refuse to hydrate) and can concentrate salts in the root zone.
Awesome gob you're doing, Brother!!!

I appreciate it, I have read about the dry clumps. Im going to attempt to water now every 6th day. Ill squeeze in a few extra feedings. What do you think?

Your gals are looking FINE!
I can't tell you when to water, or even how much to. Try picking up a pot when it's dry, but before you see signs of stress (if you can weigh it, even better). Then water until run off- I like about 10% or 15%- and pick it up again. You'll get pretty good at telling when to water just by the heft of the pot. I'm only on my second grow, but I've had almost 150 days of pot picking and moving.

Day 40

Today I woke up and noticed up ward growth. The one smaller lady I gave nutes to grew more than the rest as expected. Theyre filling in nicely. Im keeping the fan on 24/7 keep humidity from what used to be 55-60% humidity to now 50-55% (I understand flowering plants like a bit lower humidity) im keeping the lights literally probably an inch or two away from the plants. The main colas and the rest are all poofin up. Lovin it cheers:coffee2::fire::dance2::niceshot:
