Hey everyone :toke: super excited to have found this forum! And autoflowers, for that matter! WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?! (No need to tell me, i've been researching autos for months)

Anyways, old-time smoker/first time grower here! My wife and I finally got our first setup going, 4'x4' tent with what started as just a Mars Hydro TS600, and not until I set it all up did I realize how grossly undersized the light would be once we got to the flowering stage, or even halfway into veg for that matter. But, as luck would have it I was able to get my hands on a Bloom Plus BP 1000, a comparable light so now I can run them side by side. These are photo clones from a local dispensary (2 Purple Punch, 1 Fruit Tree), but I do already have some FastBuds auto seeds I plan to start as the next run. Anyways, I'm really excited to get this stage of life rolling, FINALLY!

Welcome!
New grower here also! The feeling from growing indoors is quite different to me than growing regular veggies outside. For me, it's quite like the feeling I had when I set up my first aquarium. I was a bit sneaky in how I got my tank. I had to make a third grade school project. I told Mom I wanted to make a terrarium to show the cycles of a closed environment. Won 1st place and took it home.
I had been gathering things for the aquarium by selling returnable soft drink bottles. I went to the library to learn how to keep, breed and raise fish.
Two weeks later I had everything to set it up. Dropping the first first, Black Mollie, was like popping your first seed. Like now with my tent, the aquarium was the first thing I would take a look at in the morning to see how everything was going and if I need to make adjustment to the environment and check for problems.

Naturally, this is better with the end product of your efforts!

When I read you talking about keeping Black Mollies I can only imagine you are old school. My dad used to breed them in the late seventies early eighties. ;)
Someday's I was glued to the glass tank watching those babies get born and then immediately swim to the bottom between three or four layers of marbles. Man, those were the days :d5:

Very well put! I never had an aquarium but my brother did (he didn't take much pride in it though) and I know EXACTLY the rollercoaster of emotions you're referring to! This is definitely the first and last thing I check on before I go to bed, AND also indoor gardening has gotten it out of my head that I need a beach vacation. ..not that I don't, but lately I have been OBSESSING over the idea of "getting away". ...well, now I have a very solid and satisfying reason to keep me home! Also being on telework this whole thing has totally changed the daily dynamic of my life. I even started doing yoga again! :headbang:

Yeah, I'm an old fart! Before I started mowing lawns for money, about 10yrs old, collecting bottles and selling them was the way most kids made money back then. I had a clean neighbor hood.
Watching Mollie babies grow is just like watching your plants grow. Like now, you take pride in providing an environment that life can grow and flourish. It just brings back a feeling that was so amazing in my youth. That was not what I expected when I contemplated doing a grow.
