Cheers for popping in and commentating fellas.

Budman - "and are just constantly fucked off some dank boodwah" < this is what I am looking forward to the most, that and having a go at making my own hash/oil. The last time I smoked any solid was years ago when all you could get was soapbar, the shittest of the shit.

Red, I think I've been a bit lucky with this grow what with not knowing the PH but I'll defo get a meter for the next grow, my aim is to improve every grow. I'm looking forward to the harvest which is going to come a bit sooner than I thought, looking back at some older pics, I have miscounted the days and I am actually on day 59 now, which is good.

Your plants are looking real nice and maturing well. I wouldn't be too concerned about the yellowing. They are progressing very well and that's just part of the natural cycle. As the plants finish up they feed on the stored energy in the big fan leaves, causing them to yellow. In another 3 weeks or so you should have yourself a fine harvest.

Cheers Muddy, always good to get positive comments from people who know what they are doing.

Just thought I'm make a quick update re my grow tent. I've just got hold of a T5 which I've put in the top chamber so that can now be used for propagation/veg while I've got plants in the bottom finishing off. Hopefully this will mean I can cut my harvest time by 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for the kind words. That's what I do. I've got a separate veg area with a 175 watt MH and four 23 watt CFLs. When my current grow is about 3 weeks from finishing I start new seeds in the veg area. By the time they sex and are ready for transplant the others are done and I can put the new ones under the LEDs. This way I get a harvest about every 8-9 weeks.

Well I've started my first ever harvest I've taken down the HBD, Black Jack 1 and the main buds from the 2 Cream Caramels. I'll take the Black Jack 2 another week when such time the other HBD and the Shot Adrenaline should also be ready for the chop.

In my drying tent (extracted using duct to my main tent) I've got good temps (70 ish) but the humidity is up to 76-80%, I've added a 6" fan to create air movement (but facing away from the buds)
I've also germed 2 Russian Rocket Fuel, 2 Sweet Seeds Mohan Ram and 1 WOS Afghan Kush Ryder, they all popped their heads a week ago and will be potted up into 6.5's in a few days which will be their final pots. I've only gone for 5 plants this time as 7 was too much for me to manage in my space and lack of experience with training/pruning and I think my first grow suffered a bit - although I am over the moon with it. I've also changed soil to Plant Magic Supreme which isn't as hot as the Allmix I used first time round so that might help as well. They've just had plain water up until today when I added PM bio silicon and a bit of root stim. The AKR didn't crack so I used my teeth (OK so this may not be advisable but it worked and it's as good as the others).

Instead of starting a new diary, I may just keep this one rolling if the powers that be are happy with that.

Time for pics, mon amigos.

Well I'm chuffed to bits I managed to grow and harvest my first ever plants, now for the hard part - waiting for them to dry and cure properly, then the easy part - smoking those bad boys. :jump:

+ rep for a great harvest. Hope they smoke as good as they look.

Thanks Muddy, Much appreciated. I think they could have gone longer which is why I've left the other Black Jack, then I can compare the 2 which have been harvested at different times.

A question if I may, with regards to potting up, what is the best technique? Do I wait until the roots have established in the little pots or beforehand? Also, is it best to do it when the soil with the little 'uns is wet, dry or somewhere between?

Also, thank you for my +rep, it's my first...:thumbs::thumbs:

Depends a bit on whether you're growing regular or feminized seeds. I mostly grow regulars so start mine in cut off half gallon juice containers. These are big enough to support them till they sex. Then I transplant the females to their final pots. With fem seeds you can start them right in their final pots or transplant when they have 4-5 sets of true leaves. By then their root system is well established and holds the soil together, making it easier to transplant. I generally like to transplant when they are moist but not overly wet.

Ah thanks man once again. I'm growing fems and the seedlings are a week old in tiny little pots, I'll probable have to replant them before they sex but this shouldn't make a difference because they are (should) all be female. I hope I haven't given them shit start to their life...
