New Grower 1st Grow Journal - Massive Midget and Candy Kush - Start May 29, 2015

Ill just take it easy to start, baby steps haha. What heat setting do you find best ? I've read either green or blue are fine.
I'm really looking forward to pressing some rosin from the auto bbk, so sugary already.

Are you planning any indoor grows this winter ?
I use the blue setting and only pull on it for about 5 seconds max.

I will likely start germ on either another Heavyweight Massive Midget or a White Label Northern Lights Auto on 10/4 when i'm back from my trip. Only going to to do one plant as it will need to be totally indoor. I know what to expect from the MM but may want to try something new. The NL is also supposedly low on the smell factor. It's quick and not big plant. Here is the info, what do you think?

Well I've always been a big fan of northern lights, if it was me I'd prefer to try that rather than another MM purely for the variety and the experience growing a new strain. Either way I'm sure it will be another great grow.

I like northern lights, too. Messed around and bought some royal queen northern lights autos only to hear a lot of remarks about them taking 90 days and going over 3 feet. But who knows? Northern lights should be very consistent.
LST works wonders at managing size. i'm going to need to LST my winter grow for sure as it will be my window box set up. Will likely LST it so it's wide but not too deep.

I figure I'll run some of the bigger stuff in DWC buckets or might try a coco grow. It gives you more headroom and a lot more positioning for flexibility than my 18-hole Aeroflow unit. I can still just space stuff out and only fill a few sites but I'm convinced that it is at it's best running lots of short and very compact plants in very quick grows.

On my next grow I'm thinking 6 white widow, 3 paradise critical, 2 delicious sensi star and one sugar pop They all should be pretty compact and I'm thinking SOG Style with better trimming of side branches and a short veg.

Also tempted to try those free afghani #1 seeds looking for a mother plant because I think those might make a I oddly fast and potent SOG from clones if I can get a good mum.

I don't know. Decisions decisions. I want some of everything.

Bag Seed Day 148

This girl is turning out to be very nice indeed. Very aromatic and the buds are fattening up. I will be harvesting her two weeks from today or tomorrow (10/3-10/4).

Gave her last Molasses water today along with some AzaMax to try and knock out the spider mites, which there aren't many but i can't stand those little fuckers.

Trichs are roughly 20% Clear / 75% Milky / 5% Amber.

Flush starts tomorrow, so my vacation starting later this week is well timed! My mate will swing through every two days to water her out.

Hoping to pull 2-3 ounces dry weight from her.
