Grow Mediums 1st Coco 180w LED/125w-250wCFL (Slow starter)

Hi Im stonedBRO, long time toker, first time grower and a quick learner.

Little update guys, no sign of sproutings yet with Day 2 coming to and end and still no sign germination, here's hoping when I wake up tomorrow we might see green on Day 3!


Set up

3 x 10L Coco Coir / perlite ~75/25~ medium in airpots (tap watered to run off once and tap water sprayed since) with royal Bluematics seeds about 1/2 inch - 1/4 inch deep.

In a ds60 tent, speed controlled 6" clip fan, with 125w veg (have 250w flower upgrade ready) cfl in centre of pots, and 180w (60x3) LED UFO above on 18/6.
60cm width/depth 150cm height DR60 secret jardin tent (it's not size that matters it's how you use it right)

I now also have Rvk 5" outtake fan with carbon scrubber and insulated acoustic ducting, 125w veg cfl is approx five inches away from coco, 180w LED is 70cm. Day 2 got the humidity and temps better approx 27 degrees, 48% humidity. No condensation. Ordered a speed controller for the Rvk. Have some seedling 'evolution' growth spray. Ph pen, ph up and down. Still waiting on Ec pen.

Coco is damp but not overly wet or to dry.
Hope tomorrow brings green shoots my way, soon as I have a few leaves ill drop the light down to 1 inch...

Shoots came up in Day 3 snapped seed shells off, day or two later first baby fan leafs sprout.

Pretty much it so far on Day 15, few leafs look a bit odd, due to using organic frets biobizz in coco, germination in high ph and a weak cfl set up, I guess, some pics from Day 1-15, second leaves are growing, going to flush with 1.5L of ph 5.5 water per plant tomorrow and on Tuesday drop feeds down to 0.5ml per Litre. Will be investing in an EC pen ASAP

Okay guys, I have switched the 125w veg cfl from 4" overhead, to 5" away in centre and replaced with a 180w (3x60) UFO LED 70cm above.
Also switched from the biobizz organic to the canna a/b hydro nutes.
Girls are already looking better, and all after so much needed helpful advice from Jimmi420 and SprinkledWithEmulsion, lowered feeds from 1ml / litre to 0.5ml for the next week at least. Also now using PH 5.5 with a pen and not a drip test kit. Will be investing in some buckets as my drip trays are leaking run off all over the floor of my tent :S

Man don't get me started, thought an ipad would be a convenient piece of hi tech kit for posting an online grow and it's been a nothing but a ballache for forums!
Using the a/b at 0.5ml/L ATM, And Naaa using professional plus coco.
this will deffo be a show alright! So far of how not to treat a coco seedling lol but hopefully soon I'll be on track

180w (60x3) VIPAR LED - Anyone?

180w (60x3) VIPAR LED - Anyone?

I have just slung one of these about 70cm above 3 Bluematics.
Anyone shed any light (pause for laughs) pardon the pun...
But seriously this frisbee was the best part of £80, I have stunted mine quite badly due to poor conditions (first grow).

Anyone got comments on this unit who have used it before. highs, max no of plants etc?
Please let me know, I have a 250w cfl on standby.

Odds are, if it is advertised at 180w, it is probably running at closer to 100w at any given time since led' diodes aren't pushed to their limit, otherwise they don't last long.

Some new nutes, ph water and lights seem to have got them babies rolling...bit of stunt and nuts burn but hey its the first run, live and learn right!

Will get another batch of photos on the weekend, now I have got my camera and my buddy KK showed me how to post big images!
Feeding these 0.5ml A+B in a Litre each approx daily.
Hope its plain sailing from here, the last 17 days have been stressful :')

Day 17 Coco LED/CFL 3 x Bluematics

I have had issues with ph and nutes since day 1, but think i have finally got on top of this. This is the damage I encountered since starting my first grow.

Currently feeding 0.5ml / L, 1.3 Litres daily with calmag now and then.
Was feeding 1ml / L before signs of burn, and feeding biobizz grow @ 1ml/ Litre before that. Think I stunted them a bit with the wrong nutes, ph, and light change but hoping from here things will be a little better (Y)
