Photoperiod 12/12 from seed??

I will personally vouch for rooted clones at 12/12. That's Sea of Green technique. Literally forcing flower on plants that are 3" tall. Its GREAT, and its one of the most efficient ways of growing. PERFECT canopy, vigorous growth, as the clones are the age of the mother, and gorgeous tiny little Christmas Tree plants yielding 7-10 g each of straight cola love. The ONLY problem with SOG is the sheer quantity of plants around. A true SOG is every week, with clones going on one end and finished product coming off the other end. Then everybody just gets slid up one spot, and repeat. A conveyer belt that spits out dope once a week. The downside: Say you want to pick 8 tiny plants a week. That's 8 per week X 8 weeks of flower for 64 plants. Plus mom, and a week worth of clones, usually double. So to pick 8 a week you're gonna have 85+ plants in the house. That's only a few away from mandatory federal bullshit, so that is one of the main reasons(I think) that SOG isn't more popular. If you wanna get rich though, can't fuck with SOG....Just don't get caught.

yeah sog was what i wanted to do untill i realised how many id need. definately looks like the most productive way to do it. just not worth the jailtime. round here you get caught with multiples your done for minimal 5oz per plant regardless of what state its in. on the plus side though if you only get caught with one plant they let you off regardless of what state its in. hence why i just learned how to grow one monster. local plods to busy to deal with non gangsters these days so they try pretty hard not to thankfully : )

I have done 12/12 seed on my old forum, it produced ok but i wouldn't do it again.
Cannabis will only start to flower under 12/12 after it has reached sexual maturity approx 3 week (can vary with strain/pheno)
If anyone is doing it to reduce the height of photo sativas it is a waste of time better of having a mature mother and taking cuttings , then put the rooted cutting straight into 12/12 and use a training method such as SCOG if they are a really long flowering equatorial strain.
If the strain isn't a really long flowering sativa and more like a 12-14 weeker 12/12 rooted cutting can be done as a sea of green!.
Been so many years since i did a photo grow but I'm toying with doing one, there are some really nice strains out there, Bhodi, TGA Subcool & BOG seeds all have my attention.

Just popped some Dragons Fruit from Bodhi. Should be flowering it in December time period. I'll post something when I do. I am really excited about this strain.

12/12 from seed is legit for hybrids, sativas , not recommended for indica heavy fast flowers.

I know that what I did isn't quite what you're looking for, but FYI.

Last year, had a couple of Northern Lights photo reg, 3 weeks under about 16/8 or so, then outside to about 12/12.

After 3 weeks sort of veg lighting, she took another 2+ weeks to show sex, which is longer than if the veg period was longer for an Indica plant light NL, so she needed longer to do her veg thing before flowering.

This year, a couple of Mandala Safari hybrids, photo reg, 3 weeks under 18/6, then outside to about 12/12 or so.

One took 11 days to show sex, which is about normal, maybe a little long for an Indica, but about right for the Hybrid pheno.

I know it's not quite what you're wanting to do, but thought I'd throw it out there for the info.

Conclusion: photo plants can easily just do 3 weeks of veg lighting cycle, then flip to bloom, and will show flower in about 1-2 weeks.
