If you live in Canada or the USA more than likely you should hook up the 110 volt not 240 ! As long as your in a "residential basement" and not a commercial or industrial property ! I Used to be an electrician !
Do you have 110V and 240V current and an option to choose or you simply do not know what is used in your country? Continental Europe uses 220V, UK 240V and US 110 V .
My ballast has the option to use 120 or 240. I'm in the U.S. I wrote 110 previously but it's actually 120 or 240. So will the 120 be ok if I'm using a 110 outlet? Thanks for your help everyone
110 is a nominal voltage range. Meaning somewhere within that range is acceptable. 120v is the actual voltage at your house. A standard plug will work fine as long as it's not overloaded already.
Sure. I do understand what you guys are saying. I'm going to run the 1000 w on its own circuit and run a 400 for vegg on a different circuit. I'm going to check on everything a lot when I first start to make sure the 1000 will be ok, it is a lot of juice pumping through that little 110.
