I have 48inchesX48inchesX78inches tent. I had 2 ak autos 35 days old and 2 nlXbg 21 days old under 400 hps. Just got new digital 1000. First day ran on 5O% day 2 75% day 3 100%. Hooked up to fan and temp in low to mid 70's. Light about 18 inches away in cool hood. Plant leaves started growing oddly, really thick on one side and started to get the crinkle/twisted look. Today I backed light down to 75%. Are they just too young for that much light or what am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help

If you hold your hand, palm down at the plant tops for 30 seconds or so, how does it feel on the back of your hand? If it feels to warm for your hand, it's too warm for the plants.

Can you post a couple pictures of the plants so we can see how they look?

I can hold my hand over them no problem. That is why I was confused. I took some pics of the set up but it will be tonight before I can get them off of phone onto computer

I'm not a fan of 24/0, even if just for 4 hours, i.e., 20/4. The roots need sleep too.

I'd raise the lamp a bit and give them a week or so. It quite possible that the increase in light energy is causing an increased metabolism the plants. Any shortage or lockout of macro or micro nutrients will be magnified.

imho.

I will put the pics up tonight. This is my first 24/0 I've tried. Normally I run 24/0 first 2 weeks then I run 20/4 until last 3 weeks and end with 18/6. I just thought might get more production with 24/0. Also all 4 plants are on different nutes with different schedule. The youngest were the most affected. Hoping it was just to much to quick

here is pics dont know if you can tell much from them.. there color is great though.

Yup, I agree, Maybe too much light and not enough sleep.
Some strains can handle it better then others tho.

I switched to 20/4 today. Also lowered the younger 2 by at least a foot. My question now is, if heat isn't a factor in the tent do I have to run the inline fan and duct work. In other words will the lights own heat hurt the bulb or anything, if not being cooled? Have cold front hitting and could use extra heat.
