Sticky's Perpetual Grow | Autopots

Intro

What’s up AFN!

Getting ready to drop some beans here in the near future.
I’m still fairly new at growing. I have about two subpar grows under my belt that limped through the finish line haha. They were documented on the prior site if you’re interested.

(First Grow)

https://autoflowernetwork.community.forum/threads/gorilla-glue-autos-in-a-4x4-tent-new-grower-advice-welcomed.85704/page-29

(Second Grow)

https://autoflowernetwork.community.forum/threads/2nd-grow-mephisto-double-grape-strawberry-nuggets.86881/page-3

Understanding how to properly read and correcting ppm levels as well as watering were probably my biggest challenges.

I’ve changed my setup around this time to hopefully correct my prior faults.

Grow Equipment

AC Infinity -
4x4 Tent
AI Controller
6" inline fan/ducting/charcoal filter
Supplemental lights
(2) Cloudray fans
Hydrone dehumid
Cloudforge humid
Spectron grow camera
AI Hydro sensor

MarsHydro FC4800
Autopots 5gal geopots w/ airdome
25g. Rez

Nutes

CannaCoco
Canna A&B
Canna PK 13/14
CaliMagic
RO Water

Misc: Great white, Fulvic/Humic, UC Roots, SLF100, Coco wet…

My first 4 drops will be Mephisto Skywalker & Mephisto Sour Stomper x Creme de la chem x forum stomper x skywalker)

Im planning on dropping them in Humic-fulvic/seaweed combo - then into root cubes then into their forever homes. My goal is to automate the grow as much as possible.

Im starting the journal a little early as im waiting on some backorder things from ac infinity, just excited to get back to it!

This will be my first time in coco, my last grow was in coco but was cut short due to life circumstances. Anyways, I hope you guys stick around and support me through this grow!

Glad to have you here!

I feel like you’re set up Is the AC Infiniti equivalent of my VIVOSUN setup!

Excited to see how this comes along!

I’m excited to try their Vcure and Vseed :grimacing:

I almost bought a vcure.

But I got a gen1 cannatrol for $500 off Facebook marketplace ( really for $300 because my neighbor gave me $200 to dry a couple harvests for him in it )

I’ll never get a deal that good again.

The VC seemed cool to me, but a little overpriced and overcomplicated. I’m old-school when it comes to germination.

Thank you for stopping by @Mara_Cachafa @KingRatt!
Hope to hear from yall!

@Simply_nuggets Oh yeah thats a steal haha. At first glance it looks like a great unit. Cant wait to put it to the test.
I hear you on the Vseed! I liked the all-in-one concept.

Germination

And so it begins!

8-10-26: dropped (4) Mephisto Skywalker seeds & (1) Sour stomper x creme de la chem x forum stomper x skywalker seed.

RO water, PH-6.3, splash of Nectar For The Gods Zeus Juice, & Bio-Ag Ful-Power.

Sunk them to the bottom today :cafeen:

Used a lil AI magic to work me up a feed schedule with my current build & nutrients. If you’re interested or want to make suggestions its attached. The AI model is still learning. It made lots of dumb suggestions to get where it’s at now lol :naughtystep:

Don’t mix these, they don’t play together nice at all. I probably wouldn’t use AI to build feed schedules. Upload the labels from your main npk, cal mag, silica, and whatever pk booster you are using into the AI and ask it what is missing for gravity fed autopot res feed systems. Then go find those labels upload those a long with the other labels again (ai is retarded it forgets details to fast, even better hand type the labels contents to it as well as the pictures as the labels) and ask it to tell you where the overlaps are and what you are doubling up on, then ask it if there is something available that doesn’t double you up more than need be. For example there are a bunch of products that are kelp based that are advertised to do other things that’s included with it as well, mix to many kelp products will run into issues.

If you’re going to run a res run benificlas, or run sterile, don’t try both. UC roots is HOCI it will kepl all the benificial bacterias in your solution, and depending on what concentration ends up in your res can mess with sugars and enzymes also. If you’re going to run HOCI and sugars or enzymes it needs to be around or less than 1ppm free chlorine. We mix our own the poor man style with cal hypo. We dilute 1 gram of the stuff into a 1 gallon jug and dose 5ml per gallon of water in the res out of that 1 gallon jug everytime make a new res, or every 3 days whichever comes first. If something is actually needing to be treated we will bump it up to 10ml. Our base nutrients have chlorine in it also but it’s super small amounts. Very important to keep the free chlorine ppm low.

Thanks for the heads up @AutoGrowerMo !
I decided to go with a sterile grow, no bene’s. I’ll be mixing SLF100 in my rez w fresh nutrient batches, and adding UC roots for my top-ups. Didnt know they’re counterintuitive - I was making this mistake in my prior grows lol.

It’s been 7 days that i’ve dropped those beans in Fulvic and Kelp - None of them gave me a tap. Could have been my poor storage of these seeds over the past few years.

SOO I ended up picking up some Jean-o Root Beer Float and Brother Mendel Vader Cookies. :shooty:

Fulvic acid can drop pH quite a bit when used as a seed soak, which might have stressed those Mephisto beans before they had a chance to crack. Straight RO water around 6.0-6.5 pH is usually all it takes to trigger germination, even for older seeds.

The Jean-O Root Beer Float should be a solid backup though, those Root Beer Float crosses have been producing well in a lot of the recent journals here.

Does Humic cause PH to drop as well when used as a seed soak?
