Newbie to Autoflowers .. needing some guidance please

Hey everyone.
So after trying to find some stuff at home and around the new estate to raise some of the plants closer to the light, I have decided to just use the pots from my first indoor Photo grow. I have drilled holes into the top of them for drainage, and have cut holes around the side for better air flow in the tent. I have uploaded some pictures to show you what I have done. The plant on top of the pot is the one that got squashed but still survived(just), and also the smallest. I have just let it go since being squashed with a little support of the main stem at the start.
Any feedback/advice on the raisers would be greatly appreciated before I attempt to do the other 3 pots, makes one hell of a mess hahaha. Cheers

After getting some advice to raise the lower plants, I have rearranged the tent a bit. I have uploaded a few pictures of what I have done, and how the plants are progressing. It has been a lot of work, but fun. The only problem I am having is that it is becoming quite a jungle in there and I am starting to get some shadowing happening. Should I just bite the bullet and move the smaller plant out of the tent?
Any help/advice with my problem, or the grow in general, would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I would keep the small plant in there and keep doing what you are doing, it will be worth the jungle mess when you finish. i have a runt in my 4x4 and i understand the frustration but i hate killing runts because ive seen them bounce back and make a ton of buds later.
Thanks for the advice buddy. I wasn't going to kill the runt off completely, even though there has been a couple of times I was very tempted hahaha. Was considering moving her to the Photo tent in her spot, the only downside is the 12/12 schedule happening in there at the moment.
The bottom half on a couple of the Skywalker Kush's are being shadowed slightly by the the runt and the bucket it is on. It also affecting the air flow across the bottom of the tent slightly, which is a bit of a pain. But I will keep her in there .. for now lol. Thanks for the advice buddy, appreciate it.

You can stick it in the 12/12 tent but it will suffer a little, i read but have not tried a 12/12 on autos yet but some people get nice grows with 12/12 but using higher DLI during the 12/12.

One of the mistakes that I made on my GG autos grow was not culling at least one plant. I had 4 autos in a 2' x 4' and it was a jungle. One reason to have more plants than fewer is that you have some plants left if you manage to kill one of them. OTOH, having 4 plants in 8 sq ft made it hard to get to the plants in the second row and it made pruning and LST a total PITA.
The other issue to watch out for is that, if you've got a jungle in there, like I did for my GG autos, you're screwed if you get an infestation. One plant was looking a little off so I checked the leaf surfaces and saw nothing. I didn't have the knowledge (nor did I get the advice!) to check the undersides of the leaves with a magnifier. Sure enough, I got thrips and/or aphids in late flower. Due to there being so many leaves under the canopy, I couldn't apply an insecticide properly (I was using Spinosad). I sprayed the leaves as best I could, so much so that Spinosad was dropping on the top of the res, but that didn't stop the infestation because I couldn't get to the underside of the (hundreds) of leaves. It sucked. Looking at pictures of the grow, it looks like the two plants that were in the tent actually lost a few inches in height. The net net for me is to have a few plants in the grow area as are needed to fill the canopy.
You'll notice that seed vendors give yield data in gm per square meter and that's because the number of plants is not the driving factor. The big driver for yield is PPFD hitting the canopy so the issue is not how many plants are in the grow area rather than having enough canopy so that no light is hitting the floor of the grow area.
I'm starting a Gelato auto grow real soon now and I'm going to germ 3 seeds. I'll put all three in the res and toss one the weak one when things get crowded.
