My big girl's grown almost 2 feet.
I don't know why but it vegged for forever. :-(

It seems to me she will need 6, maybe 7 or even more weeks to finish flowering.

I won't have that long (due to moving).
5, maybe 6 at max but that's it.

She's been on 18/6 since showing signs of flowering.

Would it make her (or encourage) to mature the buds sooner if I bring the light hours down to 16/6, or even 12/2 from 18/6?

I do not mind sacrificing on yield, but I would mind chopping prematurely.

Any and all advice appreciated! Thank you guys.

Im my experience i noticed that the flowering time is little longer with 12/12 and they will stretch crazy. Dramatic yeild decrease too.

I noticed switching from hps back to mh in mid to late flower will ripen them faster. It possiblY shocks them into finishing.

That makes absolute sense if flowering with 12/12 from the beginning.

But I am several weeks in and I'm wondering if decreasing at this point could signal to the plant "finish up soon, winter is coming" despite having ruderalis genes in.

What do you think mate?

I have had a few autos put into 12/12 that were started under 24/0, ranging from 14-35 days. They were ww autos that were very squat starting out and stretched a fair amount then kush and chz autos that stretched massively. i actually haven't started autos under 12/12, only reason they went into this light schedule was because my veg area was getting too crowded.

Hi xo, I have never encountered anything that would indicate that 12/12 would speed up maturity. What are your temps currently running? If you aren't already running too hot increasing the temperature will speed things up somewhat.
