Here's what I got so far.

I built a 2'x3'x5'high box I will be venting directly outdoors. Should I be concerned with bugs getting in. If so what should I do?

I got a 96X3 mars hydro reflector along with cfls around the sides.

I have 3 Gallon smart pots

I have an acctual 8 ph meter and a humidity and temp gauge.

I have my beans
all are feminized autos from herbies
lowryder easy ryder
Delicious sugar black rose
royal queen royal haze
ultra lemon haze
cream of the crop cash crop

I'm obviously not growing them all at the same time just haven't decided on two or three at a time. Opinions based off my box and lights are needed.

Ok now this is where I'm stumped the soil and the nutes.

I have been to a bunch of local nurseries. The closest hydro shop is 2 hrs away. I found a local compost called stout ollie's www.Stoutolliecompost.Com please take a look. The nursery is the most respected in the area and they swear by this stuff for growing tomatoes in buckets. They say it holds at 6.5ph and they don't mix it with anytime else. I thought I would add perlite at 30%. It's soft and doesn't clump. What you guys think?

Nutes I have no idea. I looked at bio bizz which i like and an nutes (these are too expensive) I am interested in organics bUT not yet maybe next grow. I'm guessing from all my reading that I need cal mag yes?
. I really need help with this I can't make up my mind.

So there you go. is there anything im missing?

Thank you so much in advance. I have to say you guy are great and very helpfull to the other members. I love how there's no negativity and only light swearing. I look forward to working with you guys especially after I crack my first bean.

Thank you:peace:

I'll direct you to the organics section into a thread keeping it simple

I have been talking to a fella over the a lot the passed couple days I would strongly suggest going organic

All I could get my hands on was dr earths pot of gold and some fish meal cotton seed meal and kelp meal I was told mixing these together and letting them cook for about 3 weeks would be a great place to start

Adding blood meal and lime wouldn't hurt either if I recall correctly. Also you could hit up tlosoils.com I was told the 2.1 mix with the Dr earth's pot of gold about 50 50 would be a good way to go as well and when I can get the funds together I'll be doing that for sure but head to the organics section if you are starting from scratch I would strongly recommend going organic and just doing it right the first time man peace

If its good enough for their nursery, then I'd buy it! I'd also ad some perlite. I've grown in straight organic potting soil and it will wqork just fine. Maybe add some worm castings of you can get them, its the best fertilizer you can use!

Hi fantasy :) Nice strain selection! :Gold: Take a minute and go over to Introductions forum, and give folks a little intro on yourself, so peeps can give you a proper welcome :)
I use a piece of nylon stocking to keep my exhaust duct from letting bugs in. Just tape it over the out pipe/duct.
Best to you on your grow! Looking forward to following along :)
Tokes to you :Sharing One:

Put a screen in front of it? are you using a carbon filter? If not, are neighbours a concern?

Nice, vey nice lights btw.

I have 3 Gallon smart pots

Good.

I have an acctual 8 ph meter and a humidity and temp gauge.

Very good, will be really helpful.

I have my beans

ofc. :') Magic beans I hope

all are feminized autos from herbies
lowryder easy ryder
Delicious sugar black rose
royal queen royal haze
ultra lemon haze
cream of the crop cash crop

sounds all very good to me!

I'm obviously not growing them all at the same time just haven't decided on two or three at a time. Opinions based off my box and lights are needed.

3 plants I would do max at the same time here for a good yield and decent buds.

I think the soil should be good. Unless there's any slow release nutes in them. I believe I read something about soil for tomatoes and cannabis.

Nutes I have no idea. I looked at bio bizz which i like and an nutes (these are too expensive) I am interested in organics bUT not yet maybe next grow.

Have you looked into their Bio Bizz starters pack? otherwise if you want to go low budget I could suggest powderfeeding.ch by greenhouse seeds. If you want small bags + they have more variety on: http://www.azarius.nl, make sure to flush with chemical nutrients.

I'm guessing from all my reading that I need cal mag yes?

Might need it yeah I don't personally have it tho, haven't needed it either. if you want to go more organic eggshells and epson salt is a good replacement I hear.

So there you go. is there anything im missing?

Yeah, molasses & paperclips, thank me later. ;)

Jah bless, greetings from Babylon man!

Thank you:peace:

EDIT: I apologise for my grammar & writing I am in outerspace right now :'D

Thanks pops. I have read all of your posts however I just do not understand about adding nutritants. That's why I was thinking of using biobizz and a schedule. Do you have a thought on this

Welcome FI, looks like you got a great setup to get started. I grow in a 2X4X5 tent and grow two plants at a time. By the time I get sidelights and circulation fans in there the room is full. I grow in 3 gallon pots. I use AN Jungle Juice two part which works really good and no more than you use up with only a couple plants each grow, the cost per grow is really affordable. You have to adjust pH, but no big deal to me. I use Promix soilless mix, you can get it at Walmart and works good for me. Hope this gives you some things to look at consider, I'm sure that with the help of all the great people here, your grow will go great. Again, Welcome and Good Luck.

:welcome: Welcome to AFN FI, I'm new also and the best advice I can offer is to be patient and read as much as you can. The following thread is a great read!https://www.autoflower.org/f5/fds-guide-growing-hefty-autos-small-places-206.html It has loads of info and you have to read a few pages into it before FD lists his soil mix. Oh yeah, btw using Led's will require CalMag ... N4W ... :peace:

My bad, FD lists his soil mix on the 1st page. It's the organic tea recipe that's a few pages in.
