New Grower Animatey fumbles photo periods: Royal Queen Critical DWC w/ TOPLED

Great solution for your lst!
She is looking good dude.
Keep up the good work and you are going to be reaping the benefits!
I am excited for you!

Thanks man!!

I can't really picture how she will go from this to actually being filled out with buds... happens so slow it seems like sometimes haha.

I plan on being super diligent and careful, honestly my biggest worry is if the light will work OK for flowering.

I had to switch out the TOPLED that was in there because it was bringing the temp up a degree or more than the one i have now.

Right now I am using this one:

http://www.taotronics.com/TT-GL14-80-3W-6-Bands-Led-Grow-Light-Plant-Seeding.html

The spectrum is:

Bands: 6 Band, Red: 630, 660nm, Blue: 425nm, Infrared: 730nm, Ultraviolet: 380nm, White: 12000k .

It only pulls 100 watts actual draw, so I think it caps out at about 3 ounces unless you are better than gpw grower which I am not haha.

I used it for one grow previously with less than desirable results, but there were so many problems in the grow it was really hard to say if the light was a factor. It has always vegged plants well, just the blooming I can't vouch for yet and that's kinda spooky going into this.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by man! My goal is to post pic updates weekly in flower as this one is supposed to be pretty fast.

Day 58

This little lady is truly putting my ass to work in the space department...

Every time I thought stretch was over, she would tack on another 2-3 inches in a day......... I shit you not, I measured one day she was 7 inches from the LED. Measured next and she was 4 :|

I am OUT of vertical space. I had to full blown remove the carbon filter because I had to get my light to go higher. Still not sure what I will do about it, and she is starting to smell like weeeeeed.

Also she is now too big to fit under one light, so I have been doing a pair for the past 4-5 days or so.

I am begging her to stop the vertical O_O

If she goes higher I seriously dunno what will happen... She doesn't seem to get burned by the LEDs even when she is like 1-2 inches away. No bleaching no nothing... It's bizarre man, my previous plants would burn if within a foot.

I am starting to think that plant light sensitivity is much more heavily based on plant health than I thought.

Nutes are still Canna Aqua (flowering nutes), Botanicare cal mag plus, and H202.

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck on your grows!

Looking nice matey, lets hope she dnt get too big.
Im subbed, good luck with the rest of your grow.

Day 26 of flowering (day 60)

Guys I'm fuckin freakin x_x this is ridiculous. 3 weeks 5 days into flower and she is still gaining inches vertical a day.

If you compare the pics from 2 days ago, there is a grey line of tape in the back of the cab and you can see within 2 days this crazy plant has shot up 2 inches.

I have only grown like two other photos before, and I never remember them streching past 2.5 weeks. This just seems insane.........

Like I seriously am at capacity in that cabinet....

My next steps if this continues are fairly dire as they require me to move her into a grow tent, and I have no idea where I will set it up and what the temps will be like and basically it will be hellish and probably not work out well... She has come this far and is fairly healthy, I would hate to mess this up now...

Any ideas guys?

I am defeated and starting to worry I will never finish a good grow x_x

You can see she is like well into flowering, making buds:

P2100006.jpgP2100005.jpg

but vertical growth just keeps going. I even LST'ed the shit out of her for the first 2.5 weeks into flower (there really is not point now, I would just be bending kolas right? not like any shoots are gonna go vertical?), like probably a foot worth of main stem.

Super-crop it again,
It can take it just fine.
Go down the branches as far as you feel comfortable ( I would am for about half way down)

Gently squeeze that point going around the branch softening it so that it bends over.
Don't squeeze in a precise spot, you want the fibers softened long enough for it to bend instead of snap. (about an inch along the stem, more on branches that seem brittle)
If one it feel like it will break wrap a little medical or duct tape on it for support.
If you want to see a recent example of some hard super cropping , look at lykaboss recent grow.
He bent them very hard in order to scrog them.
You are aiming for a little different result, but it may help you feel a bit more confident in doing it.

They are looking great by the way. Keep it up!

I think I can do that! Gonna try tomorrow when lights are on again. I will def check out that journal!

Will report back after have done both within a day or so.

Thanks man!!!

Did the cropping this morning. It went really smooth. The three problem branches are bent at 90 degrees and they stem skin is still in tact :)

I'm glad you showed me lykaboss journal... His super cropping made mine feel like nothing haha. Thanks again grey bear!

Will post pics again soon :Sharing One:

No Problem Ani, I am glad to see you doing well.

lykaboss and I joined around the same time, I think he has some pretty good skills.
He thinks things out well and goes ahead and does things based on a well thought out plan.
Our styles are very different, but he is a good guy.

His current grow is pretty insane for sure. Veg for 10 weeks then scrog it out like never before.... haha. Pretty intense grow.

Quick question on these super cropped branches... unlike in veg, I am wondering if the branch might not stand up again because of the weight of the forming buds on the branch.

Do you think the branches will stand up again on their own? Or will I need to support them maybe after a couple days or something of letting them hang?

Here is about what the biggest problem branch looks like tipped over:

Thanks again man!

Hey Ani!
I think it looks like you did fine.
The branches may heal at the bend and slowly lift up or stay horizontal with the branch ends or bud heads growing up or some combination.
You may need to prop the branches up with a stick or support them with a string or (better) gardenwire attached to the tent post.

The deal is at this point, you are training them. And in more of an "oh shit, I have a jungle on my hands" covering your butt way, than a nicely planned way.
I have been there more times then I can count. It took me a while to learn.:slaps:
Nice thing is , you can be pretty aggressive with photos to make them work in the space you have, but you are learning some of the pro's & cons of growing in a small space. In the end, you will be a better grower from it. But you have to stay on your toes.
And the first grow with every strain is a learning curve.
I think you are doing great.:kusht:
